What is the quietest way to connect a carbon filter and a fan? Direct connect - is there some sort of collar that’ll connect the two? I looked on Amazon and inserting the word “collar” brings up pet collars and clothing even with the words “filter” and “fan” connected. Lol! Sure could use some help!

Get a big jubilee clip mate.....that should do it if your duct tape comes off:pass:

I have mine connecting the filter direct to the fan with a screw clamp, then the duct to exhaust port is connected with another screw clamp. Then at all the connect points I've used the aluminum duct tape to make sure everything is sealed at the connections.

Thanks y’all! If this comes apart I’ll try a screw on clamp. It’s pulling about 360cuft/min (at 1/2 speed) out of a 175cuft tent and I thought it was broken at first because it was so quiet! Lol! I may just turn it down to 35%, which is the lowest it’ll go but I need to clear all the stank out of the room first.

Be careful running exhaust fans too low. I personally don't like to go below 50%...it can and will burn them out.

THEY'RE called KAAAAHBS Joe's dad's stuff

Just now saw this. Thanks for the advice! I ended up running it at 60%-ish which is still incredibly quiet. That Stealth fan, with the built-in muffler is amazing. The only noise is the gentle whoosh of air moving through the filter or if you stand next to the exhaust. Outside the room you can’t hear anything and the smell is completely gone until I open the tent.

Thas how it's supposeda be brother. Yeah....exhaust fans aren't too bad once you get em ducted and turn em down a few points. Even the little sound they do make is quickly turned into white noise by brains and it just melts into the background....next thing ya know, it sound quiet without it...lol. I also have a muffler, except mine is homemade from Lowe's, out of a 4' section of 8" round hard ducting with some soft poly foam glued inside with 3M spray adhesive....also from the big L. Those dials also let you dial the pressure of the tent to right where you want it. I like to run mine on the negative side so it sucks the tent in....the exhaust is stronger than the intake and it forces all the exhaust through the carbon filter and not out the holes in the tent. Sucks that bitch right in....super tight.
