I am considering doing DWC for my first grow. I'm just a little confused on a few things.

I picked up Dutch Passion's Colorado Cookies & Blackberry Kush. Along with an Electric Fruit Auto.

Grow space size is 63x24x58, would a 1000 watt HPS be too much for the space?

How often do I need to change the water/ nutrients & how would I calculate how much I need for 3 plants?

Will I need more than the Humbolt Farms A&B Nutrients?

I am open to all suggestions and will document my grow once I get everything set up.

Thanks!

Dump your reservoir once a week or if it's looking funking or having lock out. I'm use to using feet not inches lol but ya as along as you have proper air flow/ventilation I don't see it being a problem. Great pic my display pic is the Blackberry kush auto from Dutch passion and the Colorado cookies looks great! For the nutes I'm not familiar with that line so can't answer that but I'm sure one of the members on here can let you know.

That light might even be slightly overkill for that space is it dimmable?
1000w hps in that space will create a lot of heat. That space is less than 5 foot high take away at least a foot for the dwc buckets and you need to keep space between plants and the light.

Between that and the dwc bucket you dont have much room for a plant to grow.
Any other lighting options. Sorry to sound so negative just trying to give you an insight dude.

so like icewater421 said youll need good ventilation to get rid of that hot air.

No experience with those nutes but im sure they would be fine but youll also need a calmag suppliment and ph up and down.
I would really recommend using sm90 as well. Great product for keeping roots healthy.

Also as im sure you know a youll need a ph and ppm/ec meter.

Ok great, thanks for the insight. The little logo is something I just threw together last night so I'd have an avatar of some sort lol

Nice Blackberry Kush, I'm assuming you grew that one?

Thanks again!

Yes the ballast is dimmable, you're not sounding negative at all lol

I'm a first time grower and need all the help I can get, I'm willing to listen to any and all advice given.

I have a PH and PPM meter on the way & will pick up some of the calmag & sm90 as you advised me to do.

Thanks a lot!

Very nice smooth has a berry smell when you break it up and smoke it. Pretty strong indica great for movies and stress lol I had a 7pack and 5 of them where purple and two big ones where green.

No mate i use sm90 but from what i gather it and hydroguard do the same job.
Give dwc a go its easy enough- you do need extra space though!
