New Grower Contest: 32oz. Grow Competition

I've watched a few of these comps and always missed the start, nearly missed this one too

Don't know what to grow yet but I can't wait to get going I love these things

Been looking for a 32Oz cup and I can't find one so I was going to measure out the exact amount of liquid pour it into a litre cup and mark the water line, then full to the line with soil.

I was wondering are we talking US fluid Oz or UK fluid Oz?

Reason I ask is I want to get my measurements exact so I have as much soil as possible without breaking the rules

US = 946.35 ml

UK = 909.22 ml

This comp is getting more attention than our BOMs :thumbs: Good turn out though. Glad to see so many hats in the ring, and so many different strains and growing methods. Auto watering, TLO, hempy, OF (represent!), promix (got love for soiless too) - just can't wait to drop the beans.

Final preparations tomorrow. Make sure your pH probes are calbrated gents, we're about to lift off.

I am pretty excited about this one! My first competition with the big boys and only my second auto grow. I smell catastrophe in the making but this is how I like to learn. Under pressure.

Your setup looks awesome, well done with that. Will be interesting to see how these different strains perform. Im trying with 5 different ones also.

Thank you donkeykong, I am doing so many to see how each goes under the new LEDs. Yours sounds like it will be a fun one also

Wish I could join in but too much going already to start some new plant(s). Besides, I don't have any auto seeds and wouldn't be able to get any in time to start. Good grow karma to all !!!! :clap:

same boat here. Only I hadn't joined long ago either so im trying to get my posts up in time alongside as well as kick start the project. My seeds wont get here in time either, they ship on Monday when everyone else starts germinating.

I don't think there is a rule that says you HAVE to start at 00:01 on 20th so I will hang back on the start line till seeds arrive and hopefully start soaking and germinating Tuesday onwards.

I picked some quicker plants, 60 , 65 day varieties so hopefully a day behind wont matter

BTW anyone - what timezone does the competition run to, how many hrs do I have left ? I guesse im good if I can get the posts in by start time, even though I cant start till a day late ?

Me too. And its my first grow ever, apart from basil and watercress Starting a day late, Id like to say like Usain Bolt giving everyone a head start, but in reality Ill be like the ill prepared fat kid that gets to the start line late, wheezing away and finds everyone else is already half way up the track. lol. Then probably I will stumble on my shoelaces a few steps in
