New Grower Contest: 32oz. Grow Competition

Greetings Group! I am kicking myself in my ass for letting FEAR making me drop out, I am in a safe sitituaion and if possible would like to "re-enter" ? Could we take a vote? Anyone else up to another contestant? Having to throw them outside for a while and now got them back in their "home" they are doing better than I ever expected... If I can't get back on the list no big deal will still continue to update regardless.

So since this competition is about fun for me and less about yield (as im sure it is with many of you) I've made the decision to do an experimental topping of my smaller plant. I know I know - anything other than LST is not recommended for autos. This may be true but I have found that this is largely based on yielding/time factors. In my book it does not mean to say this type of thing should never be attempted and I'm always down for an experiment - autos with strange structures just interest me for some reason I do not know.

Of course this may all turn out completely s**t and I'll only have one girl left for the comp by the morning, good times!

Sorry all I need to post an update. Had to cut a few flowers and been loaded with working and spending more time with my wife and family.


All I can say is the Jet 47 has been having dirty dirty sex with the Mrs. Automatic Amnesia
I the think Automatic Amnesia is going to get knocked up hard. The Jet 47 has been messing around to with Ms. BC Early Blueberry too, but not to many people know about that yet.

The Blitz (Afghani cross) is bouncing balls about all over the place. I haven't ever had a male so before it gets sent west I thought I'd just check with you all to make sure what I'm seeing the male pre-flowers.

Really want to keep it for a seed run but I can't risk pollinating my current grow, I need that to be pure smokey goodness, so it'll be moved outside until I can extract a small amount of pollen.

Seen as he is my first ever male I'm gonna let him grow. He may be sent west but he'll return with pockets full of gold. Now, the decision comes down to crossing the afghani with either of the following.

Unknown sativa
Great white shark
Super silver haze
or
Pineapple chunk.

Day 28

Hey guys, coming back and checking the progress of this competition is fast becoming a highlight of my week, keep it up everyone they truly do look great.:drool:
And for anybody that hasn't read any of my stuff on this site - my first grow is currently underway, and these babies are now technically part of it - battling mg def under the LEDs so here is my noob first grow attempt update! Might be jumping in the deep end joining a comp during your first grow but I'd really like to emphasise how fun and informative this forum really is - I couldn't not join in :check:

lol. I just got back from few days out overseas on work, its late and been a long day but I had to sit down and catch up with whats been going on. This was the first post from where I'd left off and quite funny cos I could well have wrote that myself, also first grow, joined AFN a week and half before the comp started, learned about the comp just a few days before and managed to just about get posts >50 in time and my s**t together two days into the comp
have to agree how fun this is and what a great band of folk we have here.
You know, I haven't even made me a cuppa and had a nice blaze yet, which is totally, way out of character. Better go address that :cough:
