Hey guys, looking to make some gummies that I got given help from someone on here. Let's say I wanted to make 1 cup of canna coconut oil with an 8th of bud that's around let's say 15 percent thc. Well math is 3500 mg of bud multiplied by 0.15 which equals 525 mg of thc in that. Then lets say I wanted to make 150 small gummy bears. That's 3.5 mg in each gummy. However, I'm sure throughout this process some thc is lost in the cooking process. Anyone have any idea how much?

Even with alchohol extraction you dont get 100%.... oil extraction is supposedly around 70 - 75% at best

I'm late but I found this: https://jeffthe420chefcalculator.com/
It looks to assume about 60% extraction in coconut oil.

Honestly, we can only approximate thc levels since we don't really know THC % in bud or exact percent extracted. I did use the above calculator when making oil for gummies and it seemed to have worked out pretty well.

I used tinctures and oils in edibles for years since @Mcdee shared a rosin gummy recipe I have been using rosin decarbed in VG for all my edibles. Very easy and no chance of a burnt taste you sometimes get with oils and tinctures. You can still make the oils and tinctures but using a mix of rosin and vegetable glycerin instead of infusing with flower
