Sweet Seeds - Cream Mandarine F1 Fast version

I figured I'd make a journal of my microbox, it's not a stealth microbox, but it is small. The box is 25x24x50cm in size, it has a 120mm Noctua computer fan pulling air out through the back and a hole on the bottom of the box for intake. My odor control will be different Ona brand products, the appartment already smells dank and a carbon filter would probably make no difference.

The light I'm using is a 150w 6500K cob LED, with an estimated (by myself) 75w actual power consumption. I bought it from eBay and removed some of the metal cover to get a couple of centimeters more space and an easy way to attach the light to the box's ceiling. I lined the box with cheapo mylar (stucco/diffused would've been better).

The plant is a freebie from a previous 'tude order. I'm growing it in a 2 liter plastic container and using coco coir as the medium. The original autoflowering version of this strain has received a lot of praise, so I'm interested to see how this "fast version" turns out.

I'll be using Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice Micro and Bloom as the main nutrients, going with a slightly adjusted "h3ad's formula" (1.3 - 1.6 ml micro & 2.2 - 2.4ml bloom / 1 liter).

Lighting: "150w" Cob LED.
Grow medium: Coco coir, 2Liter plastic container
Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice Micro & Bloom.
Ventilation: 12cm Noctua tietokonetuuletin joka käy yhdeksällä voltilla. Hajunpoistona Ona Block.

Here's a plant that I previously grew in the same box, but with 2 x E27 25w 6500k LED spots and a 0.5L root space.

Comments and suggestions are more than welcome, don't forget to check out my autoflower journal. Let's begin! :smoke:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 1: The plant is actually about 3 days old in this picture, but I planted the coco plug in the 2 liter plastic container at this point.

That is alot of light bro I would keep a eye on your leaves i have heard on here of young plants getting bombarded with too much led can suffer quickly with cal mag issue and the leaves becoming almost transparent keep a eye out

Thanks for the heads up, the light definitely seems a bit too intense at that distance. I might have to add a thin layer of plastic between the plants and the LED, it's not hot in the box, it's just blindingly bright. I also ordered some GHE calimagic. We'll just have to wait and see.

Day 3: The growth rate seems really fast, even though the plant refuses to grow vertically. After the roots take over the container I'm going to drill a hole to the bottom of the container and start watering through, the coco is re-used and needs some flushing.
