Really nice grow, I am thinking about using CM for my upcoming breeding project in the spring. I am trying to get some of those pink pistols that the Cream Mandarine can produce
I took a couple of buds to dry a few days ago, turns out it's way too early to start harvesting. Even though the tops are nice and amber, few centimeters below the tops everything is still RAW. The samples tasted nice, but did absolutely nothing highwise.
The plant was harvested. I'm not 100% certain that it was ripe, but I hadn't given it any main nutrients in a few weeks so it didn't really have any energy to swell more. The next pictures will be of dried buds, I took pictures yesterday, but I forgot about them and emptied the memory card. All in all the project was a success, the light was properly tested and it did an awesome job. I highly recommend COB LEDs for small scale grows, a lot of usable light with minimal heat.
Next time I'll keep a closer eye on the nutrient ratios and pH, this round the pH was all over the place due to a broken pH meter. I also stopped giving nutrients way too early, I was thrown off by the uneven ripening, the tops were going amber while the bottom buds were still clear and almost white from lack of light. For the next round I'll also get FloraKleen, there was significant salt build up in the bottom of the container.
A big thank you to all the followers and commenters. I'll do a last update in a couple of weeks.
The buds have been hanging in low rh (20 - 30%) for a week now, they seemed a bit too dry for curing when I jarred them. The harvest was a positive surprise (40+g), before the weighing I had smoked about 5 grams.
The high from this strain is mostly in the body but is very good at eliminating negative feelings. It makes you care free and physically relaxed so it's medicinal. Pretty good sleeping aid, doesn't knock you out during daytime but is relaxing enough for evenings. The effects from the earlier chopped buds were almost identical just milder and last a shorter time. I can't really comment on the aromas or taste because my sense of smell is out of order.
I give this one a 3/5 rating, but grown properly I'm sure it could be a 3½/5.
