Harvest & Curing Curing after paper bag method

Once they are dry in the bag you jar them up and allow small amounts of air to enter and escape on a daily basis ... once they go into the jars you can start 'sampling' it ... I generally don't put weed into the rotation until it has been jarred for 3-4 months but most people 'sample' it til it's gone ...

:headbang:

I would have thought that the ganja would taste like paper bags using this method but the several threads I've read about the bag cure seem like this method of drying is preferred by a lot of people. I'm going to test this out soon and get a mini hygrometer and some boveda 62's ready for jarring

I can definitely confirm they do not taste of paper bag lol, my harvests always seemed to have the 'hay' smell until I switched to paper bags, I never looked back, it works really well. :pass:

Yeah I'm definitely using that method! Im going to use humidity packs when curing, when it gets to 62HR how often should I burp the jars?

i have to say the ``boveda's are LEGIT. i took my sour crack down and dried just over 2 ounces ( dry ), i in my eyes id taken it too far in the brown bags after only 4.5 days it felt bone dry, you could crush a whole nugget like dust. after testing in a jar over night it registered at 42%. i panicked and filled the jars lightly with the 62's in there and plenty of excess stalk to pull moisture from. its had a few different tastes over this last few days, definately getting stronger, and the moisture is not far off perfect.
I hung the big top buds from fishing between racks and put them in the bag with the rest of the smaller lot to bring them al in together.

first time using autos. first time with brown bag technique and first time using bovedas. all information i read on this site, and all damn good !! hail the network !

Well it's going to be my first time using the paper bag method and the bovedas. When you get the 62HR how often do you burp your jars man?

The whole idea of the Boveda is to take the measuring and stress out of curing. The Boveda will regulate the humidity to keep it at 62 by absorbing or releasing moisture, so after burping once a day for a week just seal and forget.

Would I have to burp the jars if i just put the boveda pack straight in after drying ?

I've yet to use the boveda bro. I just burped my jars once a day for 10-15 mins or so for the first week. I just got into the swing, if it felt a little too damp, burped a bit longer, if it seemed to be drying to fast, not as much. The paper bags just made a huge difference to me, and when it hit the jars after a few days it was good to go, after 4-5 weeks-dynamite lmao.
