It's arguably cheaper... And it really doesn't have to be super precise if you also have a good digital meter.Not really relevant, more of a tangent, but I imagine litmus paper would make a good tester for distilled or R/O since it works similar and doesn't rely on conductivity, either.![]()

I can definitely identify with that. pour one ounce of tap water in a glass. when it dries, the bottom of the glass is opaque. Haven't measured it, because it's already a non-starter.
