IMPE the lightest rosin I could get came from buds just dried to 62% RH pressed at 180°F for 5 minutes. Once you cure it it takes on a lot more color from oxidation. There is a big flavor difference but the buzz generally is the same until the bud gets older.

Well I couldn't wait for bud to cure i was tired of the crappy first couple grows bud i had left. so When i had my jars out burbing and taking pics for #Teamterploc thread i snagged a few pieces out. been in jars since 3/3/22 with a 8 day hang prior. I over dried the bud to 10% tested with wood moist meter. but she's coming back around as long as i keep burping jars i think i be good

First press 200f 3min i thought was gonna be thick and buttery but it kinda pretty oily. i had to get my aluminum plate from the freezer. normally my room temp aluminum plate is perfect.

I pressed the snot out of it the second time same temp 200F 3min

It's a little dark but tasty definitely getting better with practice

Hey squishers I need to buy some press bags and curious if anyone has noticed a difference in quality between brands?

I’ve only used dabpress press bags 2x4.5 90micron

I use the Dabpress 120 micron ones in that size, and like them. I cut them in half, which makes a nice size for my pre-compressed pucks. They seem pretty tough, I rarely manage to blow one out, and I finish off with serious pressure - I am making tincture and salve, so I'm not fussed about super high quality. I don't know if there is anything better out there, but see no reason to go looking either. I get mine on Amazon.ca.

Oh, just remembered, I just received my box of those silicone parchment sheets that @Mañ'O'Green recommends. The stuff I have been using is sort of ok, most of the time. I'm really looking forward to trying the new stuff. I need to get at the CBD bud, maybe tomorrow.

that sure looks like more than 1 gram to me. Maybe your silicone tubs are smaller than mine.

thank you. I learned it here for you guys just trying to pass it onto the next like you guys have.

It is a small one i have just a little bit bigger one probably like yours. i won't lie it was actually 1.0 i had to flick it around to get the .03. Because i didn't think you guys would believe it hit 1.0 exact. thats first press only probably .5 second press did not weigh that just wanted to see what all was left in puck

Pressing is the easy part now i gotta learn to grow some really good bud @Jerseyphresh1 was right better have a big head stash anyone looking to build a press i need bud.

missed this one i've been busy on here tonight time for bed. Yeah i agree the busting of the bags was ME once i got the prepressing ,folding and tucking of the bag when loading down. i can press the shit outta 7g of bud before it busted. I'll let you know how the RAW paper works it should be here friday i hope. you let me know how the oilslick stuff compares to cheap parchment paper. also I gotta get some different micron bags too to experiment with too.

You will find that a press can use up a pile of bud in a hurry. At $10/gram, pressing dispensary weed would be a tad expensive.

One reason I went from 2x4 to 4x4.

I make my own rosin bags. Ordered me a couple of feet of the nylon 80micron fabric --> LINK. I cut it into 10x5cm pieces and my wife sows two sides close.
Each bag can contain about 5-7gr and if folded right I nearly never get a burst puck.

thanks for the rep bob. Great idea I’ve seen rolls of Micron screen and was wondering if guys did that and made their own DIY press bags
