Trying to think of how this could work in my space before I purchase. Could I ditch the plastic trays and put the metal stands directly on top of the heated mat?

I wouldn't. Those metal feet would wear through the plastic on the heat mat pretty quickly. Like @BCBudlady I place my pots, trays, solos etc. directly on the mat.

Should be fine… that’s what I do but my trays a little bit heavier duty then those you have

Very cool. Do you use a temperature controller and just keep them running between a certain range? Appreciate the help

27: They look okay. It’s been 6 days since their last watering. Will likely need to tomorrow. Healthiest plants I’ve had at this stage maybe? How much would you recommend watering at this stage? Appreciate everybody!

Wow, nice looking plants! Water until you've added about 50% of the weight of a fully saturated pot. Vague enough? hahaha.
