Okay so it's a soil mix, anything peat based treat as soil. So 6.5 is just fine. The new growth looks good but cal effects the lower growth first. I think it has to do with the mobility of the element and how easily it travels through the plant.
Thanks NE, I just ordered a accurate 8 ph meter last night, it will be handy to get a better reading on my soil, I think those spots I mentioned a couple posts ago were from using the wrong bottle of water and got nutes on the leaves with big droplets sitting on it for too long while lights on
I'm hoping to top once more after they recover than they are heading outdoors
Ah yes if ya leave nutes on the leaves it can burn the sh!t outta em. Makes sense to me.
Are ya puttin em the ground or big pots once they go outside ?
2 are going in the ground in holes that I filled with my soil mix in a green house, soil had been prepped and plotted for almost 2 months come June, maybe 20 gallons worth per hole than rich native soil beyond that
2 are going in big ass pots out in a swampy half guerrilla style grow (pots would be 20-30 gallon I'm guessing) with holes drilled along the bottom and sides, gravel lined the bottom than top of pot shout be about 16 " above soil/water
And the last one I'm playing around the idea with keeping as a mother for clones or also putting in a pot in the swamp
I'm leaning towards just growing her out, I have lots of autos beans to keep me busy while these FDs grow out
I'd prob just grow her out Frisian dew can get pretty unmanageable indoors. They like to grow into trees!!! I like to keep em in 20 gallon pots so if they have to be moved it's a little less of a pain in the ass. Lol. I do have a couple in swamp tubs though. Never used em before but interested in seeing how well they work.
Fed yesterday same as last, currently day 15 for all the FDs.
They are recovering well from the FIM session three days ago. I saw some awesome cane action in a a few threads, I am tempted to try it out in the green house to keep the canopy as controlled as I can manage which may be tough
I'm thinking 3x8' bars fastened to concrete block 8" above ground should give me a nice sturdy base to tie down to
