Cool dude!. So you're an advocate for this technique too?. I can't wait to get home, my bitches are bushy as hell right now. I'll do a side by side comparison with my two most alike plants.

Good Idea, I started removing any leaf that kept light from hitting a flower. When the plant got bigger I removed the lowwr leaves that didn't get any light

Very interesting!!!
Something to try out on my next Photo grow.

Thanks for sharing!!!

:peace:

I am against it and have lost bud because of defoliating photos in the past.

He can do this espalier because he can hold it in veg for months, clipping and pruning. Only when it is big enough does he switch to flower. We can't do that with autos. Look at his comment.

I am now training plants to be 32" tall and 32" round and yielding 250-400 grams under 400 watt lamp.
Which means you could fit one in a 1mx1m tent. I could get the same yield in under 3 months from 6 short autos in the same space. It is about grams per square meter per day. A high yielding plant is not so good if it takes double the time to produce.

Thud, we're not talking about autos. We're talking about defoliating photos.
