Are these drip rings you seem to have at every size home made haha? If so I would be interested to hear how you do it.

I have some various irrigation pieces like tubing and y connectors and drippers etc, but the DIY stuff I tried didn't go well...

I notice you don't have any net pots in those buckets? I saw your la diva grow and it came out great and I remembered thinking you said it was 100% hydroton or similar.

1. Are they clay pellets like top to bottom?
2. Where is the rez? Do you have airstones in there? Or just pure recirculation?
3. How do you know how full the bucket is ;D ???
4. How do you flush without floating all the clay pebbles everywhere?
5. Is this what they call ebb and flow o; ???
6. You probably have less problems with root rot etc since you don't have sitting water?

Sorry for all the questions, obviously you don't have to answer, but your setup intrigues me....


I tried to do a 100% clay pellet grow back when I was first learning (I fucked it up real bad, had no idea what I was doing [still don't lolol]).

I have always wanted to find a way to grow in just clay pellets, and ended up doing DWC instead, which I guess is generally going OK, but we will see....

Anyways, really cool DIY stuff in your grows man, I will def follow along.

Drain to waste
Giving it 1L ph tap water at the top, waiting for it to drain, repeat 3-5 times.
Change res to Mild doasge nute solution, run drain to waste 24 hours.

But thoes uses "airlift" to transport water from res.
Thats fucking noisy ( I don´t like it )

I use airpressure to transport water from res.
Zerro noise.

A water pump is also low noise,,I didn`t have any water pump
when i build this setup,,

6.You probably have less problems with root rot etc since you don't have sitting water?

I have newer had any root rot in my grows

if my res was 5 liters i run that thry my system in 24 hours.
if 10l i would run that thru my system in 24hours

So all my res is recirculated in 24hours (i wouldn`t call that sitting water)
Atm its getting 55 seconds of oxygen (airstone in res) every 45 min.
That is when the airpump is on feeding my girl from the res..

Day 14

She don`t look to good.

She started with 3 single finger leaves
Then the next set was, a 3 finger and a 5 finger
Now she on her first "normal growth" a pair of 5 fingers

I also noticed that the Growth from the nodes (branches) are already starting to grow,
In my experience that usually start later,,,HMMM

I have upped the feed during the week,, Accidently gave her bloom nutes :slaps:
So res was changed the day after,

The new growth is Yellow at the bottom and green at the end,, (I seen that before,, They grow out of it when bigger)
Maybe N, def "she hungry" ??????
Maybe the light is to close 16-20 cm from the top, ???? (the cree`s is 85% more lux that the epistar/epiled)

I´ll see what happens during the next week,
My gut feeling is "she hungry"

She´s back on track

Branches seems a lot thicker under the cree´s but maybe that´s just the ekstra 85% LUX,, Hard to say

Last res 3L (res is changed every 4-5 days) ph fucking up, DOHH 3L :slaps:

8 ml ghe bio root plus
6 ml cannazym
4 ml canna aqua

ppm 450 ish
ec 0.9

Properly upping the nutes to 1,2 ec during the next week, She´s small but hungry.
Starting some l.s.t. and i need to top her also (On purpose this time) i only have room for 10-12 big nugs in my tent.(check my sig to see why)
I need the lady short and bushy, Ohh man that came out wrong :drool:

Day 28 (strange plant behavior)

Everything is looking fine,
She showed sex at day 22
Topped her on day 21, started l.s.t. day 22, and noticed some funny things, At the 2. node she developed 2 main branches,, And when i topped what i thought was the main branch, the opposite branch split into 2 (like it was topped)..:no:

Anyways
I stopped using the bio root,
So she´s on cannazym and canna aqua

ppm 750 upped today from 650
ec 1.5
