After a long time searching i finally found some heatsinks with small form factor
150mmx60mmx25mm
4,69$ a piece with free shipping

10 x 5w chips on each heatsink (27w DC DRAW) running on 2,7w pr chip
1 x 80mm fan will hold 2 heatsink together = 54w / 100w is max:grin:
2 x 80mm fan will hold 3 heatsink together = 81w / 150w is max
e.t.c.

Trying out 2 heatsink. (i only have 2 x 900ma drivers left )

If the heatsink stays cold,,, I´ll crank up the juice from 2,7w to 5w max(different driver ofcourse)
This is gonna be fun

I got my old light taken apart and refitted the led bins on my new heat sink..
It did not turn out as my original plan. but managed to macgyver it.
They now stay much colder than my old panel.. about 2c above ambient temp

heres a picture of my 32 days old Big Low from seeds of life sitting under 2 x 27 watt

A small update
The leds in the post above is still in good use and for small scale veg light ( 0 to 30 days) just awsome.
i newer used it for longer than that. but sure it will work out just fine...
small bushy plants with short internodes and i noticed that the leaves get thicker under this light.
I know these cree bins is outdated by now. but 50w is easily compared to my 100w hps.
:frog:

Anyways back to a new test..
3200kelvin ( warm white ) same 5w cree bins as i use in the other led panels.
Test grow from start to finish with a NYC from Pyramide seeds.

Enjoy the weekend

I look forward to this! My DIY Led is running at about 67 watts. I've grown several small plants under it to completion. I even finished a couple of seed plants with it! I'm thinking of building one like yours.

where did you get your heatsinks?
