Shit, I've also got a samsquatch going, I'll have to look at it closely. Idk but I think hermies are mostly due to genetics. Someone smarter than me will probably chime in.

yeah usually hermies due to genetics, but sometimes a light strip or anything else that has a little light can cause hermies also...

I did have to switch my lights from 20/4 to 24/0 , cause of the cold, mid grow , around day 30-40 something.... could that have done it?

Hermies happen when a seed bank takes a tent full of "x" and pollinates it with "y", then never runs any substantial testing just calls it a limited edition f1 "hype sells all"

Idk, I've changed light schedule a lot, mostly from messing up my timer lol. My friend had a Heisenberg special Hermie and nothing changes in his setup so idk.

Interesting stuff. Question , though , I have Samaquanch Going right now that is throwing bananas. Is there a way this could have happened accidentally? The other plants in there with it are fine ... and will this affect the quality of smoke any way you think? I’m still going to smoke it regardless but just not sure why it hermied...

Usually people trash hermies because what can happen is that she can pollinate your whole tent and the seeds are useless because they can hermie as well. So you risk getting a seeded tent.

If there is no pollen or the pollen is sterile the smoke will be the same but I wouldn’t risk pollinating a whole tent. I guess it depends how far along they are really.

I guess that “could” cause it but technically autos should not respond that way to light changes. Mostly photos that are sensitive like that. But it’s possible that’s what caused it even though it shouldn’t have.
