Sure that could be happening. You need trust in the dispensary and how they conduct their business and horticultural transparency.

its not a bad thing in my eyes. if anything its a good thing for auto breeders that means they are on the right track. i honestly would be more impressed with a strain if i thought it was a photo and found out it was an auto. but that may just be me. is it happening yes it is doesn't mean anyone is trying to cheat or get over on anyone, if a autos quality is as good as a photo why would it be important which one it is?"My 2 cents"

Sorry for brief responses, I respectfully disagree...

12/12 is less time under lights for 6 out of 10 weeks. 18/6 is very expensive and much worse for the environment.

You can easily grow a photo (3 strains) in 10 weeks. You can flower from week 3 under ideal conditions if you wish.

Out yielding will mainly relate to strain/luck of the pheno I think as much as anything else. A good grower versed in both grow styles (auto/photo) will always maximize yield.

If you need CBD you can get specific strains (with far greater CBD content up to 5pct) so there is no medical benefit. Though my knowledge here is admittedly not deep.

If you research your photo strains carefully they are consistently more potent that the autoflowering equivalent. In my own limited experience by about 30-50pct more potent.

Under lights in a legal grow situation I doubt I would grow autos at all. They suit me very well in my situation though and I am very thankful for them.

It is on topic isn't it ? If I was a legal grower for a dispensary there is no way I would grow autoflowering strains. I can see no reason why my opinion cannot be expressed. Can you explain why given the topic one should start a new thread ?

I am not trying to be intentionally obnoxious here but I am afraid it makes no sense. I am pro photo and auto Cannabis but cannot comprehend why a dispensry would grow diluted Indica/Sativa Cannabis strains.

If it is a money and time thing = purely profit based business. I would seek a dispensary that had a different ethic myself. Each to their own mind you. Free world and all that.

Im with you bro on this, but some people here cant stand it when someone even say anything "bad" about autos, they take it really personal and thats a damn shame when this is a wonderful forum to be a member on.

I myself sell some autos and some photos and i always say what i got but i get less cash for my autos just because peeps here like my photos alot better.

And my photo grows just take a few weeks longer then my auto grows but with lot less light costs.

I think some peeps here should step back and think a little and let ALL have their own opinions on things and stop taking "bad" words on autos so damn personal. I just silly in my book. The world would so friggin boring if everyone was liking and thinking the exact same thing....booooooring

I agree this is getting a little off thread, but for my 10p worth(two cents worth) whether its photo or auto, if grown with tender loving care you CAN tastes the difference. We care for our lil girls. We flush, often go organic, dry well, cure properly and the end result shows. eP.

I can't say if dispensaries do, they should in my opinion since technically a photo white widow would be different from an auto white widow but not to sure. As far as street dealers I'd say it just depends really, personally I've sold a bunch of auto white widow to a friend who turned around and just sold it as "white widow".

I have no problem to what you all are saying except where you say autos have no medical benefit.The might not be as high in cbd but some autos work very well for certain medical problems.Like you say your not really knowledgeable about autos and medical properties soyou might want to research our medical threads to give you some good info on the subject.

I have never been to a dispensary so I cannot offer an opinion regarding the OP's question.
I can on the rest, IMHO, We live in a time of abundance! There are so many of each type available to us, grow what you like, I like both so I grow both. It's too darn much fun any way you examine it. I will choose what suits me and will make wise choices and poor as well!

Since some autos don't even have the word "Auto" in their name.

I really doubt anyone growing to supply a dispensary would use autos, it would not make economic sense. Most grow ops use clones and when new strains come along, they buy clones of them also. Altough I guess in Colorado, they can buy from small growers, who might possibly use autos.
