Mephisto Genetics do you ever defoliate dominant cola fans?

I used to use optic foliar but couldn’t drop the $ this time I was out so I took a little kelp extract from Greenleaf nutrients and a Little calmag and been using that as a foliar. Working very well and literally takes about .01 to make lol

I have a couple of awesome Orange Diesel going. Low maintenance and vigorous growing. Dont really have to do too much to them. I did not top them or do any major LST to level off the colas.

But I do have some fan leaves on the main cola. And the fan leaves are blocking bud sites underneath right on the mail cola and sometimes on branch colas. Part of me says to cut them off and the other plant fans will pick up the slack, part says leave them because they will help the plant grow. But I don't have nearly enough experience to know which is the best way to go.

Its hard to show it in the picture but the fans are basically right at the top of the cola. Would you cut these off to promote better flower growth below?

@Mizzo81 I know I can count on you to help me out!
I’ll give u the quick answer follow your gut and cut. As soon as something in u says cut do it. It’s the fear of harming that says no but once u do you’ll see why. I don’t do much last but I do tons of leaf manipulations pony-tailing, leaf tucking and plucking. Orange diesel grows some Huge fat fans pluck what’s needed she won’t feel a thing

Once u take another photo without those leaves you’ll see why. That’s the best way to see it sometimes your eyes play tricks but pictures tell the truth for the most part.
