day 28

howdy afn,

end of week 4. plants flourish well. no incidents; i'm proud of myself. :dance2:

the led's doing a great job (again recommended :hump:).

PIC00001.jpgPIC00002.jpgPIC00003.jpgPIC00004.jpgPIC00005.jpgPIC00006.jpg

fed them yesterday with a mixture of quarter strength tomato feed, 1 tablespoon epsom, 1 teaspoon molasses and 2 tablespoons of h2o2 on 3,5l water.
as to feeding, i try only to do the bare necessities, because i like the ladies all natural, iykwim. :brow:

also i decide to untie the one lady, since they are now more or less equal in height.

the ladies are still showing no signs of their feminity, but i'm patient.

that's all for now. keep it green, guys.

-sativa- :peace:

hi sativa,

Good work so far, I guess they wont need feeding for a while now. Will you be potting them up into the final pots soon?

thank you very much for the praise and for chiming in Tony!

no, i don't transplant them; they are 28 and 30 cm tall and already slowed down vertical growth. preflowering and changing into flower mode must occur in the next few days now.

these are 12l pots they are growing in. my mistake was not to compact the soil while filling it in the pot. so with every watering it shrunk together and now occupies only the half of the pot. and, of course, the roots only have half of the possible space. one more lesson learnt :check:

ps: would like a victory emoticon

day 35 - they're bringing me flowers

buenas dias AFN!

hope you're all well!

with 37 and 40 cm, my ladies have reached their final height. since the 26th of february they concentrated on building side branches and stopped on the 2nd of march to built me some preflowers.

now they have time for the remaining 35 days to produce nice buds. if everything goes in time, i will have some connoisseur dank to smoke for 4/20. :smokeit:

i lowered the light to give them most possible intensity and apart from a few slightly white leaf tips everything is going fine.

:dance2::dance2::dance2:

onwards and upwards - sativa

:peace:

ps: some lights out pics will follow

day 40

greetings to all AFNers,

everything is going well. the polar lights are getting brighter every day. flowering is in full action.

PIC00001.jpgPIC00002.jpgPIC00005.jpgPIC00007.jpg:pop:

i decided to cut the biggest fan leaves of one of the ladies away, because they shaded the lower buds completely. i'm very curious how, and if at all, this will affect the further development of the plant.

the cut leaves were very stinky and left their odor to the fingers even after a short touch. the smell was a mix of minty and spicy, at least for my fine nose... really pungent. :brow:

feeding was upped from 1/4 to 1/3 strength. nothing else but epsom was in the mix, so very simple.

that's it from my garden so far. thanks for reading. have a nice weekend everybody.

-sativa-:peace:

Yours are about 14 days ahead of mine so I am subscribed to the thread! Best of luck.

thank you very much, man! the same to you!

i'm watching you as well.

a few pics - just because i can

buenas dias green thumbers!

after i recognized that the cut plant didn't care much about her loss of the leaves, therefor increased pistil production, i decided to treat the other lady the same way.

obviously they feel as fit as a fiddle. :D see yourself.

HELP!!! my girls molest me...

...with their awesome smell :D:D

it's day 46 of the journey and i can't keep my eyes off them. two beauties i can call my own.
it's getting crowded in my tent.

last time i fed them i gave them a combi of 2/3 strength bloom nutes and 1/3 veg nutes. look how they liked it.
