Your roots look good. Did you do the same thing to the Ripley's? I could for see root issues without Oxygen supplement at some point, do you use a pump?

You would think you need an air pump.

But if you feed often, and ur plants drink up that Res fully each day

They get the oxygen they need

I haven’t had an issue yet.

I actually built these light sealed 5” Res’s because my lil drip pans were filling w roots! And I wanted to see what would happen!

So here we are!

Ripleys is just in soil. She soaked up allot of low PH water from the hempys a few weeks back. Just a few days worth. And I got the problem you see.

But the PLAN is VERY soon, like a week, I will Be plopping that entire 2gal smart pot Into a 10” net pot over a 5gal bucket with 2 airstones In it

Well I have 2 suggestions. 1st, 250ppm is nothing . Some people have water from tap stronger than that. 2nd, Try using Coco instead of Your current mix if you are going water like and use Plastic pots. Smart pots keep the Roots more soaked and also the fabric holds salts IMO. I would fair to bet with plastic pots and a Coco dominate mix might give your roots more Oxygen. Good luck

I found the same thing those fabric pots hold on to salt turn all white sometimes and 1/4 tsp is 1 to 1.5 grams of mc

I would try Tupur over Promix. I have seen a lot of people with bugs or issues with both Happy Frog and Promix in recent times. Make for sure you have no gnats or bugs if you used Happy Frog. Good luck

Your Happy Frog has fungus gnats most likely. If you see flyers, you are infested worse than you think and that is your problem.

Mosquito bits will knock them down in the soil. Try it if you get a chance.

Your Happy Frog has fungus gnats most likely. If you see flyers, you are infested worse than you think and that is your problem.

I very rarely see a flyer

But once in a while.

That sucks!

How do I treat?

Mosquito dunks or gnatoral type products. This is the source of your problem. Standing water and overwatering plants will only help them to multiply. Throw away any open bagged soil. They will destroy your plants from the roots up. Your roots are compromised by larvae.
