Hey guys and gals,

This is my first grow altogether, and I was wondering what kind of night temperatures you need to hit to get the most color possible?

Im trying to understand wether its the difference between day and night temps or the fact that you can get it that cold at night period.

So should I be aiming for a number? Or should I aim for a 10 deg difference.

I currently run 87 F with CO2 daytime, and nighttime (lights off - 20/4) I can get it down to 60F. I cant drop it any more without buying a more expensive ac.

Is this enough?

I think 87f is to hot during lights on.I would try and get the temps down to around 78 to 82.60f is plenty cool for lights out,no need to go any lower.

Ok ill keep the ac on with the lights on. I was told because of the 1100 ppm of co2 I could run quite hot. But ill tune it down a bit. Thanks

You can run higher temps when using CO2 than without. 87 might still be a bit high, 84 - 85 would be the max. Also, start cutting back on the CO2 as the plants mature. High levels of CO2 in late flowering can make for loose buds.

Dropping temps to 60 for only 4 hours isn't going to bring out much color. For the color to come out the temps have to be below 60 for extended periods of time. Also keep in mind that low soil temps also inhibit the uptake of phoshorous, which can have a negative effect on your yields.

Ok thanks in that case ill keep it a steady 75-77.

That's too low. Without CO2 the ideal temp is 80 - 82. With CO2, 84 - 85.
