Dutch Passion & Sweet Seeds LED + PL-L, small tent

It's time to start a new grow journal, this time in the micro growing section, even though 90cm is plenty of vertical space. My previous round didn't go quite as planned, but I've learnt from my mistakes. I'm also going to keep better track of the growth days so I won't have problems estimating ripeness later.

Due to several problems I wasn't able to judge the strains properly, so I've decided to grow Dutch Passion and Sweet Seeds again. This time I'll make sure not to mix the seeds up and to label the pots properly.
I'll update this journal about once a week. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Thank you for stopping by.:tiphat:

The strains are:

Dutch Passion - Auto Blue Mazar x 2
Sweet Seeds - Red Poison & Dark Devil x 1

My setup is:

Secret Jardin DP90 90x60x90cm
80w LED-panel (Hans) and 4x55w PL-L fixture (6500K & 2100K)
3 liters of coco in self-watering pots
GeneralHydroponicsEurope FloraMicro, FloraBloom, Diamond Nectar, pH Down. GeneralHydroponics CaliMagic. Growth Technology Liquid Silicon.
Two 140mm Noctua computer fans, 1 for intake and 1 for extraction.
ONA Block for odor control.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I put the seeds in moist paper towels yesterday and today the Red Poison had cracked. Still waiting for the rest, I'll start keeping track of grow days once they've all popped out from the coco.

good selection of seeds

Day 7: I need help, the plants aren't growing. One of the Blue AutoMazars hasn't grown at all, I don't know if I need to water the plants or not. There's still moisture couple of centimeters deep, but I'm thinking I might have to flush the pots, which in turn might cause over watering and even more stunted growth. Autos are so freaking difficult to grow, never had any "plant not growing" problems with photo strains.

So.. Flush, no flush? Water, no water? Feeding, no feeding?

[edit] I ran two liters of mild nutrient solution through the pot, I also added some H2O2 incase the roots were drowning.

We (My old grow partner and I) used to run into one of these every now and then.. (The small one) We would run up to 40 at a time. Short stuff.. They just sit there stagnate without doing much. They ended up growing for the most part but they stayed kind of small compared the rest. Don't really know what to tell ya about watering. If it were me, I would grab a turkey baster and drip water near the base to make sure it had water. The other three seem to be doing well so this one is hard to call for me.. I wouldn't worry much. Hopefully one of the old timers around here can give some advice.

Good luck!! And Looking good!

Thanks for the input, I'm already germinating another Blue Auto Mazar seed and scrapped that one, it hadn't grown any roots, too moist probably.

Day 22: Auto Blue Mazar and Red Poison have begun their stretching phase, they're gonna get LST'd soon. The new Blue Auto Mazar is growing nicely, planting another seed was definitely the right thing to do. The Dark Devil is kind of small, if the other plants grow too large I might have to scrap the DD.

ps. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Looking great in there !!
Are thoes pots, self watering?? is so is it something you would recommend??
Stay green

Yeah wondering same as KSJauto because are those not Ikea pots ?

And would you recommend because I been contemplating about growing in dirt this summer :P

Hey guys, the pots are indeed self-watering, but I always water them by pouring the water directly in the coco instead of filling the reservoir, I'm worried about getting salt build up if I bottom feed. The pots are okay, but the ones I'm using are definitely too small for my purposes. I think they'd work great with an air pump and an air stone placed in the reservoir.
