Even with the water level 1 inch below my net pot, the rockwool starter cube is staying very wet in a 4 inch net pot..

Is this a problem?

Maybe it isn't because the water is aerated, but it doesn't feel great having a very wet cube, and I'd like to avoid stem rot etc.

Should be fine. Not only is the water aerated, they look big enough to have their roots in the water already.
They should be ok. I would shade the top of the cube with something to prevent algae from growing. Not pebbles.

:vibe:

Thanks guys!

I just lost 3 plants to stem rot, so I'm pretty paranoid. The plants I lost were in hugos that I overwatered.

So @Mañ'O'Green are you saying I shouldn't cover the rockwool cube with pebbles? Maybe something like panda film?

Curious why pebbles aren't a good idea for that.
