Grow Mediums DWC seedlings

These are not wet by any means. They are damp but I always give them a squeeze and then a few shakes. I would leave it on the germ mat longer till they got their true leaves but then I would be worried the roots would rip coming out of tray. If it was a phot it would be like meh who cares but it would likely be the end for a auto

Yeah I think as long as you are careful you should be able to get it off without it ripping the root. I would try it any way, what do you have to lose? Other than a bean lol and a couple of days time. I would just tell you to employee your best lab techniques ever in getting it outta the tray, steady hands and slow movements you know the drill

You mean snap it off and blame it on my lab partner lol

hahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahah

bro you get a fat 100 point reppa slap from me for that, cause I would always get blamed for the screw-ups lol. Now that is partly because I was usually tops in the class so if ANYONE in my lab group messed up it was ALWAYS my fault lol.

Bump for answers I cant keep wasting beans. This one has been above ground for 5 days and the cotyledon has not even fully opened. Look at the tap root. I almost lost the previous DArk Devil but after 9 days I threw it in soil and then it took off. The Rapid rooter is joist damp. It really is. I never have had a issue before I pop then like this and plop them in soil and they are fine. Seems like every other one in dwc has a issue taking off. I have tried lowering water so bubbles just pop on net basket for roots to SEARCH not much luck. I have tried raising water level so plug stay moist no luck. I killed one in rockwall back in the day because that shit gets to wet.

Right now I took it out of bucket and put it in prop tray under a dome with a heat mat and some phed water in the base to create moisture.

it has been above ground for 5 days I think it is fine to tell you the truth. that is the thing with DWC bro it may take it a sec to get set, but you know as well as I do that once it does it will take off. So I say put it back n the net pot, water level an inch or so below so the bubbles pop in it you know the drill. And lower your lights if you can, assuming temps dong get crazy. Give that little baby some lumen power!

Wow man I've never seen that issue granted I'm new to dwc - on my second grow but never seen or had that problem.
I was gonna suggest letting the tap root grow a bit more before putting in the bucket but it looks like you have that suggestion already.
And for that to be 5 days and not fully opened is a head scratcher for sure.
When you put the rapid rooter in the bucket do you top water it or anything? I've done that on both of mine..just use a spray bottle to keep it moist is all. Just throwing stuff out there...
