yeah I keep stuff damp but not wet. One camp says keep it fairly dry the other camp says soak that bitch and keep it super wet. Well if you do that it will dampen off. I can get a tap root longer than this in a paper towel in 48 hours. I hear yah on the 5 days bit Derek but my last DD looked like this after two weeks and I finally said fuck it and put it in dirt where it took off like a bat out of hell.

I've used the root riot cubes and never gone paper towel first. Soak in water for 24 hours then right to the cube. Never had an issue..

NO dude and dont go saying thats all my problems lol. I soak for 24 hours and then in the cube on the heat mat and withing another 24 they are abovce ground. Getting them to germ is not the issue here at all my man. I have been doing it like this for years its getting the roots to take off for dwc that is the issue. I could take this dude and put him into soil and I guarantee 72 hours later it will have rooted out.

I make sure to ALWAYS get a tap root in paper towel first and I have been growing in DWC for 10 years never had an issue. Somethin is goin on here, but again I don't think it is anything too crazy, I don't know why it hasn't opened up yet. Quick question, how deep did you place this seed? Could it have been sown too shallow?

The issue is once they are above ground they seem to stop putting down roots. This tap root has been sticking out the ass since before the head emerged.

they go about .5" down MY humidity in the room is pretty dry right now though. But that should not have to much of a issue when there is bubbles splashing up the arse end lol.

Maybe I am just being impatient but the I dont think I am. Especially since this fast buds strain lepped off too and I did nothing diffrent.

I also have never soaked any bean in water for any amount of time hahahaha, again that is just me. I am trying to give you a solution to your problem. While you may have never had issues in the past you are now, so you might want to try and do something different vs thinking "I used to do it like this so it should work" you know what I mean. Do you want to solve the problem and get your root problem to get handled or do you want to "do it like you always have"

So it's only this one strain/breeder you have issues with? No issues with other breeders?
