Grow Mediums Eleventysix's First attemp at DWC

@dcat0921 @sanguine This is good to know I was going over his schedule last night .. Dcat did you end up using the sensizym also? I have to say that is a monsterous lady you grew out .. absolutely incredible!!! I wonder if I could go full strength since I'm not growing an auto and usually you can go a little heavier on feed with the photos.. I know the few photos I've grown out always liked more feed ...

Nope I only used 4 of the AN line based off his easy feed schedule not the full line. I know it's on here if you search for it. My brain isn't what it used to be so I can't recall what the 4 parts are.
If you're growing a photo you may be able to go full bore but my suggestion would be start slow and add if the plant needs it. Easier to add a little than remove a lot...just watch what the plant says and go from there but I'm sure you'd be ok going heavier.
Part of my issue with feed on that plant was the plant I had before her just stopped drinking at about 40 days...she was gonna be a big one too and I had to chop her way early so I was taking it easy the second time.

@dcat0921 I will check your journal and see what you used, I'm really curious to know what you used! If you used just the 4 of the AN nutrients and you got those kind of results, I will definitely give it a try haha ...

@sanguine yeah I used tangs easy schedule for the first time I used AN nutrients then after my grow he put out his revised schedule and when I used that I grew out a pretty large Auto Blueberry.. well the Blueberry in my avatar ..

Alright, I got a little update for you all.. well I decided around day 8 to go ahead and give her a little food.. my AN nutrients hadn't come in yet so I decided I'll just go ahead and give her a little fox farms maybe that will get her going.. I gave around 2 tsp per gallon of big bloom and a 1tsp per gallon of Grow big (basically just followed the fox farms chart), and PH'd it at 5.8.. what do ya know on day 9 she dropped a little root out of the net pot.. I dropped the water a about a half inch below the net pot at that point.. so today is around day 11 or 12 I'm pretty sure 12 ( i guess we will go with day 12) but she has dropped her little legs into the water and she seems to be doing just fine .. I feel like she's a little under developed for day 12 but that's ok this is just a trial run before I start an Auto .. She hasn't really grown upwards but she is shooting out little leaves like crazy compared to the first 9 days.. I checked the PPMs when I added the nutrients and I came up with about 530ppm .. I checked earlier today and we are at around 502 ppm so she seems to be taking up a little bit but seems to be in good shape also.. hopefully I can keep her going in this direction and I might see some results ...

Day 12

All I know is yesterday I checked her and she had her 4 largest leaves and you could tell some small little leaves were starting to develop but you really had to look hard to see them, today 4 smaller leaves are easily visable and you can see 2 small small leaves starting to grow out... I'm assuming shes healthy enough since they are shooting out a day at a time... hopefully I get my AN nutrients so I can start them but for now I'm gonna keep on with the fox farms.. hell I may use until I run out ... I'm glad I got the hydroponic formula grow big a while back and never used it..

well I'm back two days later and things are going great it seems.. I went ahead and completely changed the res and instead of the fox farms I went with around 1.2 ml per L of sensi grow and 1 ml per L of voodoo juice. she seems to be liking it quite a bit for the most part .. When I pulled her out of the fox farms res the roots looked a little brown but may have been from the fox farms because now they are bright white and healthy looking... she isnt very large for day 14 but shes a photo so I can give her some more time before I put her into flower.. this has been a learning experience so far and I do believe when I get an auto going I will know how to get her started a little faster..

Day 14
3.5 gallon of water
15ml of sensi grow
13ml of voodoo juice

Thanks bud, I'm just hoping I can keep her happy.. This type of growing is so new and exciting to me.. I still seem to find myself looking at others grow journals to get as many tips as I can.. It's good to have you along for the ride and hopefully you can learn a few things from my grow!! Let me know if you get a grow journal going I'd love to watch!!

She looks fine so far. Never grown a photo so I'm not sure how those look at day 14. She appears to be doing good so keep doing what you're doing. Now that her roots are really hitting the water I'd expect some good growth coming up.

@dcat0921 she really seemed to respond well to the nutrients... It seemed like over the weekend I would check on her about every 5 hours or so and I could see growth in that little time.. in soil I never saw growth that quickly and the photos I have grown out before definitely seemed a little slow starting out. I think that was actually day 13 or 14 once I went and looked back at the dates. I really haven't kept up like I should be honestly .. Like you said, I am going to keep doing what I'm doing and if she starts to go down hill I'll change up some things but for now things seem to be on track ...
