Forgot to pop back in here, gonna sub up so I can keep in touch.

Bought a small grow kit and some spore syringes which have been colonising for the last month. Casings been put on so I'm just waiting for the fruits and it's trip, trip, trippy time It's been way, way too long.

Definately gonna look into your method, would be great to start growing them properly, really excited about this first harvest

How you going bulk? A tray in the SFC? Fruiting a block or two in a SFC has been stuck in my head. K.I.S.S. to the max . . syringe > prefab grain bag > fruiting chamber. Been a while since I rode that ride!


Mr. Piggy props on the cyan bed! Thats another thing that's been calling out to me. Knocking up a mulch pile with some cyan spawn and just adding wood chips once a year seems as simple and low labor as it can get!

Got 4 brf's innoc'ed with Ecuadorian, did those Thursday morning...should be done flushing by the end of September, knock on wood. Looking forward to seeing some final pictures!

I've read you can bulk up the grain bag by collonising it and then breaking it up and mixing with coco, putting it all back in another bag and waiting again. Gonna try on my next run.

Whats the benefit of bulking it up with coir? Surface area? From everything I have read you want very concentrated nutrients for the mycelium to colonize and eat. Just brainstorming it seems that after the grain is colonized adding the coir would give a larger area for primordia to form.

I keep changing my mind on exactly how I'm going about my next step. I'm still not even sure if I'm going 50/50 c v or adding some poo to the mix.

So I have been reading up on cyans and I will be ordering some spores Friday. Seems a lot simpler to let them grow in mulch in my yard then to try to grow cubes indoors. Plus from what I read these will return every year.

http://www.myco-farm.com/ at the top of the page is a tab called 'boosting - coco', explains better than I could, I'd only copy and paste the page anyways.
The straw bulking method looks way to much work but the coco is something a lot of us probably have to hand anyways. Seems like a sound idea, I'll let you know how it all goes on next months run.

Couldn't find any Penis Envy btw, may have to try Keepers Creepers while I wait for them to come back online.

I would use c&v only because I don't want rotten straw or poop inside my carpeted house!
