Evol's bulk mushroom attempt

Awesome thread Evol! I was REALLY REALLY into shrooms for a while there, I used them mostly for the right reasons and would take them and close my eyes meditate and take a journey into the inner reaches of my brain, once I was able to kill my ego and let go, I felt like I died and left and I saw what it all means, long story etc... But basically time is an illusion, everything is CONNECTED! And I mean everything its was as if I was in one of those galaxy documentaries and I was part of the energy that makes up the sum of it all... I never did shrooms or any other drug than canna ever since, it got my life in order and I believe took me to another level in the real world, part of the reason I try to put as much good out there as I can to hopefully balance all the fuck head things I've done! Evol check my threads out over at the shroomery.... I don't know what it is, but my homegrown shrooms were the strongest shit! Even other friends who had them said the same thing... Guess its sorta like with canna it gives back the love you gave to it...
I used vermiculite brown rice flour and a pressure cooker to make my jars, than I went to a farm got horse shit pasteurized it at home and than broke jar up into the poor and made aperture good size 13x9 pan of them... Used that method a few times with great success!

Here is a pic of the jar I noccd yesterday with GT lc. Already getting growth! Now that I know what works I am preparing 7 more jars.
All I did to transfer from lc to wbs jars was...

Boil my old syringe and a new jar lid/ring.
All in glovebox from here..
Replace the lc lid with the new lid
Shake the lc
Take off lc lid and suck lc into syringe (sometime I suck and squirt a few times while leaving needle in lc if its getting clogged.)
Noc the wbs jars.

And there you have it. Quite simple..you can see the new growth after only 1 day sitting in a box on my fridge.

What's your recipe for the WBS jar?

1. rinse the wbs in a bucket.
2. Flush with cold water for 5 - 10 mins and let sunflower seeds and other floaters wash away.
3. drain and rinse with hot water.
4. Let soak over night. 12 - 24 hours.
5. Drain water
6. Dry in front of fan until only a small amount of wbs stick to your hand.

I like to then line the very bottom of jars with verm. Approx 1/4 cup. And fill to 600ml line of jar with wbs.

Lids are simply holes with rtv and poly fill from a pillow.

Evol paul stamets book the mushroom cultivator says 1 pound per sq ft is a reasonable yeild for cyans outdoor.


When comparing prices of $60 for 3.5g @ my area it makes almost no sence to buy them if you can research how to grow them. Basically $25 for spores, $25 for a prefab grain nag and $10-15 bucks to make a SFC which is sure to give more than that! The blocks 2lb so even 50% efficiency gives me a pound wet. Add in any bonus a $5 block of coir would add. With recommendations for a gram or three with the PE I would be set for mental vacations long enough for a bed of cyans to do ther thing behind the house under the trees .. . . Damn you Evol!!!!! Ideas are contagious! Haha

@ evol - I think the only way i would do shrooms again, is if i grew them for myself. any chance of you doing some tutorials with pics?
ive seen a few online, but i also see stupid shit that i know is BS. so i want reliable info in other words.
