New Grower First auto, First grow. i Think its going good?

Looking good...was just reading through your grow laughing to myself thinking about my first grow and seeing all those plants in there LOL I did the same thing and had a Jungle LOL 100watts of cfl per plant in 4 gal is good to have for top results.Yours looking so health though LOl keep doing what you DO F me LOL AFNlogo"JM's a Hippy":slap:

yeah i know, it was pretty stupid to think that they would now grow that big! but you live and learn. i have fixed the problem now, i have two tents so its all good. but this brings me onto another problem....

one of my plants, the twins believe it or not are getting to big! they are almost touching the light. is there anything i can do to stop them growing? or stop them from touching the light? the plants are 4-5 weeks old now. so i dont think some LST will do any good.

thanks,

Have yet to try to train but I think you should be able to bend her a bit. As long as she's still flexible I think you're ok. Someone who knows should chime in, but I would try to bend her Over a bit myself.

Day 40!

hello fellow growers.

so i have reached day 40! and the plants are looking great. be it on of them (the twins) have gotten to big to fit in my tent, but i cant really complain about a plant being to big i guess.

so this post i am going to go into a little more detail about the feeding schedule they have been one. I may have been a little vague previously but now i understand more on what i am doing.

feeding schedule:
note: i use a local nutrients company from Spain called "top crop fert" and from what i can tell their stuff has been doing me wonders. so im just going to be calling the nutrients by what they do instead of their real i.e veg nute, flower, ect....

Day 1 to 14:
plain water and i added 1ml/1.5L (25% strength) root stimulant ever 3rd watering.

Day 15 to 30:
veg nutrients, 1.5ml/1.5L (50% strength) every watering.
i starting adding calmax at day 22. 1ml/1.5L (50% strength) every watering
also added root stimulant on day 30 1ml/1.5l (15% strength) single watering

Day 32 transition from veg to bloom:
veg -1ml/1.5ml (35%)
flower -1ml/1.5ml (35%)
calmax -1ml/1.5l (50%) single watering

day 32 to 39:
flower- 2ml/1.5ml (50%)
flower stimulant -1.5ml/1.5L (50%)
calmax- 1ml/1.5ml (50%)

day 40: coming of stimulant, introducing "bud candy"
flower- 2ml/1.5L (50%)
flower stimulant- 1ml/1.5l (35%)
"bud candy"- 1ml/1.5l (25%)
calmax- 1ml/1.5L (50%)

*i do feed every watering. but when i make the nutrients solution i always use the lowest value recommend on the bottle. example: if it says add 2-4 ml/L to water. i always use the lower one i.e 2ml

From now on i will just be using flower nutrients with "bud candy" and calmax till flush. maybe add a little flowering stimulant later on, but i will have to see how long the plants will go for.

as for the "bud candy" im not sure of its generic term, but a flower booster maybe?? but its basically similar to the bud candy from advance nutrients.

(my % might be a little off but i never claimed to be a mathematical genius  )

so as i mention in my previous post about getting a second tent, that has arrived and is set up. so now i am running two tents. one with the 400w HPS with the cool tube, and the other with 6 25W CFL's attached to the old reflector. you can see how i did that HERE

so finally here are some pictures for your enjoyment

Hey man i hope you dont mind if i sub for this grow. Looking good man. About Lst you should have started by now if you want to keep them down. I start at around 3 weeks old or younger just a tip for you before you going bend any stems rub the stem you are going to bend between your finger gently to loosen her up alittle. Dont bend her to far at once do it gradually over time adn you should be fine the girls take really well to training from my own experience i do it every time. Good luck on the rest of your grow man and i m here if you need anymore help witht lst.

thanks for the advise Briain! i would say i may be a little late to start to train them now abut i will most likely do it next time. i did have to bend down one of the plants that was getting a little tall, but she took to it well.
im sure i will have some LST questions in time. and thanks for the sub

thanks again,

Looks great. I agree with brian about loosening up the plant tissue by giving her a massage where you plan to bend her. Also, let the pots dry out before you start bending, especially at this stage. The plants are always much more limber when they are thirsty. Also, you won't be able to be as aggressive this late into growth. A little bit at a time, but frequently.

day 46, so so

hello fellow growers.

so here i am at day 46 of my first grow. i would say it has been a tough week. i had some problems with yellowing of leafs. so i did some research and asked around on here. have a look at the infirmary thread HERE
i had mixed feedback with some people saying that yellowing and dying leafs is normal at this stage of growing. and also that it could be nutrient lockout.

so i decided to look into the more severe case, lockout, just to make sure that it was not that.
first thing i check was the calibration of my pH pen.....and it was off, by a whole 1.0. so when i was pH'ing my feed to "6.5" it was actually 5.5 and when my run of was "7.0" it was actually 6.0 :jaw:.......so that was pretty bad. but you live and learn. so ill be sure to be calibrating my pen more often now.

so as soon as i figured that out, i flushed the girls with plain pH'ed water (correct pH this time) and they appear to be doing better. i would just image that are a little hungry, but i will feed them tomorrow once the pots dry out a little more.

I have also noticed that now all the plants are have spread time wise, some more developed than others.

so check out the pictures. any advise is much a appreciated.

peace,
trustfullytasty
