Evening all. Not new to growing but never run autos before but I thought I’d give them a shot out of curiosity. They are SS Cream Mandarine. I sowed directly into Presoak biobizz light mix with added perlite in 15l pots. They seem healthy but I’ve never tried the presoak method and the pots are still quite heavy. They broke ground after 36hrs. They are on day 13 - do you think they look ok? I’m guessing to just let them keep doing their thing until the pots feel lighter.
Just feels strange not watering for 2 whole weeks 😂
I gave them a mist of evolution spray a couple of days ago which they liked and there is mycorrhizal which I added halfway down the pots when filling them along with a sprinkle of Epsom salts. They’re under 400W dual spec on 18/6 and occasional light fan to strengthen the stems and give a little air movement. I think I will do airpots next time from reading about them. I did a few extra plants in case I screw up at some point so we will see how it goes!
Are they big enough yet to tell me when they want watering - ie droop etc? Or should I not let them get that dry and just water when the pots feel lighter? I don’t want to stunt them as the fuse is lit and they’re on countdown 😂

Look forward to anyone’s comments 🖤🌱

Looking good, if you got a background with photos you'll do fine, they just need around 30% less than photos and will be good. 30% less ppm for food, 30% ppfd, but with the 18+hrs of light dli is pretty close to the same.

Thanks for that. They seem to have slowed a little the last couple days but they’re looking turgid and vibrant. Hopefully the magic is happening beneath the soil and they’re preparing for their next surge. Let’s see 😋🌱🚀

I have only grown 2 autos so far. I prefer photos with my limited gardening skills. I like the freedom to extend my veg period but some people on here do amazing things with autos, theres a guy on here who regular gets about ¾-1lb off each of his autos. Crazy stuff considering I've never gotten close with 4 photos.
