I run 3 Autocobs in my 2x4 and I can confirm what @slowandeasy says about it being perfect. I’ve never felt as though there was ever a lack of light nor did I ever consider trying to add another.

I'm a big fan of the Autocobs. My tent is only 2x4x4 and I'm doing fine with just 3 autocobs in that tent. I have an additional spare autocob and a few old burple lights on standby.
As far as number of plants in a 2x4 tent, I found my limit last grow.
I tried to squeeze 4 plants (1 Chemdogging, 1 Heisenberg 2 Blue Toofs) in the 2x4. I ended up having to get a cheap 2x2 tent as overflow for the blue toofs since those two got shutout by the bigger girls.
