Indoor First Grow 2x4 Tent 600 W HPS

Glad to hear you are spreading the herb to those in need. I have had a difficult time "Coming out of the closet", so to speak haha. Timing is everything, so I continue to be patient waiting for the right opportunity.

Im curious if your approach to your next grow has changed with the additional emphasis on quantity, do you feel yourself swinging back towards the other side of the fence back towards pursuing hydro? I know the budget is tight with a light already on the wish list. Also there is the risk of messing up a good thing by changing everything up haha. But do you feel that itch to adjust your methods, or will you stay the course?

Situational quandaries intrigue me haha

"Coming out of the closet" is exactly what it felt like lol. It was a lot harder to ask her to smoke then I thought it would. Even when you know how bad they need the medicine it's still difficult to overcome the feeling of doing something wrong and worrying what other people will think. Not to mention the fear that it won't help her and may even make her worse.

The plant pays us back though I think. When we see how much of a difference it makes we know what we do is right and regardless of what other people think it's our own choice to decide what medicine we use and what side effects we choose to tolerate.

Next up is my dad which is the hardest. His lupus seems like it's been under control for years. It's hard to tell though. He could very well be in pain 24/7 and wouldn't let anyone know. He's one of those kind of guys. It's hard to see him take dozens of poisonous pills everyday when I know cannabis could eliminate all of them. He says he will get a medical card when it passes here but in the meantime id still like to get him to try it. I have high hopes of making him a 1:1 (CBD/THC) RSO with the CBD Crew Critical mass I'm growing. Then he'll be able to use it before work and not have to worry about being "high". He's a diesel mechanic so he needs to be sober. Just gotta
work up the courage to ask.

As always my plans are constantly changing bro lol. I was able to pick up some more pro mix locally last weekend so now I'm running 100% pro mix for the next couple runs. It's a great soil less mix so basically hydro anyways just better water retention so less watering :)

Also, I'm now planning on 2 setups. In my first 4x4 section I'm hoping to grow 9 staggered 4oz monsters under one 600watt. To do this I'm going to start to veg 2 clones at a time in 5 gal containers. I just transplanted a blue Thai and a Dinachem from 1gal to 5gal in my veg tent. Ill veg them in 1gal for 2 weeks. Then 2 weeks in the 5gal. Then flower tent. Ill run a 2 plant perpetual this way.

In my second 4x4 section, which I still need a light for, I will run a medium and small plant SOG. I'm hoping to eliminate the Dixie cups as my Hawaiian punch 1gal container supply slowly increases. I'm up to 20 now and hope to get up to 60. At 1 per week it's gonna take awhile lmao. I may have to buy some cheap 2L soda bottles and dump them down the drain. Still cheaper then 1gal pots.

They'll go straight from the cloner to 1gal/2L. Some plants will veg for 2 weeks in 1gal/2L and then straight to flower while some will veg 2 weeks in 1gal/2L. Then transplanted to 3 gal and vegged for another 2 weeks and then moved to flower. Hoping to compare yields to see which is better. I also hope to have a table built for the SOG to make watering 30 plus plants somewhat easier. This setup won't be going til about the second week of January depending on how much money Santa brings :)

The plan sounds good, it should divide up the work nicely as well. Im in a position where I will need to shut everything down while I move, so I have my tent stuffed right now. I am absolutely dreading harvest but it's still like 6 weeks away thankfully haha. Then one more round of girls so I need enough to last a sustained period.

The perpetual seems to be the way to go, without a partner to help with the work. Also, it prevents the girls from overcrowding the light and ends up being quite efficient. Im sure there will be alot of rearranging as the grow progresses though. Like an evolving game of Tetris.

Hopefully I will be able to bring cannabis up around the holidays, but I fear I may only make things worse. We will see. Going to drop some cheese beans in next week to have a heavy indica, just incase haha. Im all about the sativas, which arent as traditionally medicinal haha. The northern lights I'm puffing on now is a nice mellow hybrid, but I think I need something with more knockout power. Hopefully the cheese is nice. What indica / and strains have you grown that help to pain relief?

A plan is just a plan until you put it into action :)

Dread harvest?! I love harvesting and trimming. Probably because I only harvest 3-4 oz at a time max lol.

Plant Tetris is exactly what it is. I feel like I'm constantly rearranging them but like you said still easier to manage more plants when they're different ages vs all the same age.

If you mean about bringing weed to the families for the holidays I know exactly what you mean. I'm lucky where the majority of my family is ok with it and just give me a little sh*t for being a "pothead", but my sister is very anti drugs due to her stint with alcoholism and her AA brainwashing. Needless to say she gets a little pissy but we just ignore her and keep on smoking lol

Can't imagine having to pack mine up. I've found just taking care of the garden and observing it is very effective at treating anxiety and depression. I'd probably have a full on panic attack if I didn't have my girls to keep me company :)

Hope your able to get everything back up and running soon at the new place. I've heard great things about the cheese. I had a blue cheese that was pretty good but I messed it up growing it. Really interested in the Big Buddha Cheese after their recent cup.

I honestly can't say what strains I have for pain relief. Ironically I've never used cannabis for pain relief. I'm an Advil/Tylenol guy when I rarely have a headache. Otherwise when I have sore muscles, which isn't often I also use aspirin. I've heard from tons of people who have chronic pain tho like arthritis and back pain which they say is completely relieved by cannabis.

My understanding is any heavy indica will work for pain especially like Ak47 and Afghan #1. Usually I rely on breeder sites to tell me what each strain works best for. I know some of mine are supposed to be pain killers. I just don't remember which off the top of my head. If I had to guess id say my agent o, Dinachem, and Blue OG are my best indica dominant ones but I'm not positive.

I'm more of a sativa guy myself too. I believe sativa strains are used more for mental vs physical health which is exactly what we need buddy lol

I've got some northern lights x skunk that I have yet to pop. Really looking forward to that one :)

Im still not sure how I will mentally cope without the girls for 6 months or whatever it may be. I had to wait a month and a half after my first harvest and popping these bean. My sanity deteriorated very quickly lol, something about the gardening helps keep me grounded and tranquil (even when my lips aren't warped around a J haha). It eases the weary soul,. And , sativa are definitely for the mind, but they can be a double edged sword at times. They can give those little voices in the dark crevices of your mind a megaphone occasionally which is all ways exciting, in that terrifying sort of way lmao

Harvest is bittersweet for me.... I feel sad killing them after all that time taking care of them haha. It will be ALOT more than 3 ounces at once though, the whole tent is packed and going to come down at once. Im going to need an ounce per month just for myself, for 6-12 months...And at that rate I ell have to be on a Smoking Diet". I've been burning them down like Willie Nelson haha

Then hopefully like 8 ounces for friends / family for that stretch.. No small order lol. I cant PM pics unfortunately, I just tried. I'll throw up a couple pics of my tent if you don't mind if you want to see the autos they're starting to really pop off.

Critical Jacks in 1 gallon pots. Aggressive LST Training. Started out with as many pots as I could pack under the light which was about 30, and over the past few weeks Ive been playing the tetris game of rearranging them all around.

This is what my MH light looked like a week or so ago. Currently the tent is packed to the brim, with a full house under both lights, and the Northern lights in the corner as they flush preparing for harvest. Very proud of the even canopy. I Keep the lights a foot away, and they seem to love it.

I know what you mean about it becoming almost a full time job. I went in a little over my head this round, and in an effort for more explosive growth, I have just begun to hand water these girls twice a day. I may increase it to 3x a day as they hit their stride in flower. Training 30 plants was no easy task either, but I really anticipate that these girls will take full advantage of my labor (Atleast they better!)

I was considering trying DWC again, but after seeing the benefits of LST I dont think I will take that avenue. I found a couple PERFECT rectangular 3 gallon garbage pails, which I think I will do hempy buckets in next time to spare me from the nightmare that is watering this garden haha

I've heard from a lot of growers who swear that growing is like mental health therapy and can be even more effective than smoking. I have to vouch for this myself. I even find that some nights I get lost in the garden and forget to smoke lol

I've never had a pure sativa or least none that I could confirm. My wild Thai will be my first certified 100% sativa so I'm very excited to compare that to the sativa hybrids I'm used to. The indica in the hybrids is supposed to mellow out the voices in your head but like you said sometimes the voices are fun to listen to :) lmao

Totally understand the bittersweet of harvest. That's why I have to do a perpetual so I always have another one on the way :)

I know what you mean by smoking J's like willie Nelson. I average 3 a day and we go through about 4oz per mo between us, friends, and family. Kind of scared to get a rig and start doing oil dabs cuz it will only increase our usage more. Makes me feel like I'm going from smoking crack to shooting it up. It's hard to resist the movement when we live so close to the dab capital of the world though. Plus if I want to last longer than an hour at the 710 cup I need to ramp up my tolerance :)

Pics look awesome. Great looking canopy and very clean setup. The LST is very addicting. I've been doing a lot more pruning/topping vs LST'ng lately just because it's easier and I need the clones. Also I'm trying to keep the veg plants small til I'm ready to flower them.

I'm having a grow fever too. Everytime I eat something with seeds I've been saving and planting some. I've got an indoor lemon and lime tree plus a veggy garden for our 3 mo summer lol.
