New Grower First Grow(Balcony/Window). Auto Diesel Berry grow journal.

yes, the plant is small but your only growing with 2 cfls and its your first grow, can't expect a monster out of the gate.

At almost 7 weeks, I would go ahead and start bloom nutes. I think that plant size is what you will be working with from here on out. Its not ultra-critical or something you should really stress about anyway. You might try one more week of veg if you really want to.

Canopy looks fine to me. I wouldn't LST anymore. Move the lights in to 2-3 inches from the plant if you can. Do you have 2700K flowering lights?

You will need to try to get the humidity down once the buds fatten up. Mold is something to stress out over.

Stem should be ok.

All in all, looks very good.

I guess it's small because of the growing environment and also because it started out on the windowsill.

On my next feeding i'm gonna give it bloom nutes and hopefully the buds will fatten up.

I think i'mma buy those dehumidifier balls where i just leave it in my grow area and it sucks the moisture in reducing the humidity, hopefully that helps.

I think the lights are already 2-3 inches away from the plant but do you think i should move it closer ? I'm afraid it might be too hot for the bud. Yes i do have 2700k flowering lights but it's together with my 6500k veg light and i leave them both on as a mix spectrum.

I know the plant looks really pathetic but since it's my first grow i have learned so much and hopefully on my next grow i can upgrade my equipments and improve everything else for a monster plant.

Thanks vapeo for constantly coming back to this thread and answering my questions when i need help. Cheers man and blaze on(after i harvest) !!

:bong:

no.. don't move them any closer than 2-3 inches.

I wouldn't say pathetic my man. You haven't killed it yet, in fact, it looks green and healthy to me. I see some frosty nugz being harvested in your future

Hop digity

Alright i will just leave the lights at it's original position.

When i see other people's first grow journal and compare their plant to my plant, mine looks so tiny and it's growth is slower. Mine at week 7 looks like a week 3 compared to others man.

Anyway how much do you think i can yield from this girl and also do you think it's fine if i harvest on week 10 ? I'm eager to start on my new grow :p

Hard to say (hard to really gauge the size by a picture), but I'm going to say between 7 and 10 grams

As far as when to harvest, its even harder to tell. Have to cross that bridge when you come to it. But I'm thinking no earlier than week 12, unfortunately

Alright cool, i will just check on it and go with the flow. On my next bloom feeding i will do a report again. Be sure to check back soon :)

Yeah, considering the startup trouble she had and considering (from the title) it's an auto, She's looking pretty good. If you haven't achieved the height at this point your not going to. BUT there's still some potential for a little more height during flowering. Like the others said, it's your first shot. Proper nutes and LOW STRESS are key to growth. Everything that causes stress, causes growth to slow or stop (survival mode).

I would add to that 6500k and 2700k with at least 2-3 (or more!) over-the-counter "soft white" (2700k) 26-33w cfls (unless you can afford bigger) and put them in "orbit" around the plant to get the inner side penetration. Give her as much light as you can to maximize what you've got. You can't change what is, but you still have a long way to go during flowering. Water and dry, water and dry. If the soils damp don't water til she's nearly dried out (light pot). Here's a nifty gadget for expanding your existing socket. It's not expensive, but finding it might be an issue. i bought 3 of these for supplemental lighting. Put in the 2 mains (60) and 2 more of the biggest you can afford. Whatever configuration you use, keep the biggest centered on the top of the plant like you have now.

Trust me, I'll bet your next grow will be the bomb. As we learn, we improve. The key to the next grow and to maximizing this one is to keep the stress level to as near zero as possible and give them all the light you can. Nutrient balance is the hardest of all to achieve EXCEPT in soil. BUT on that note it is the easiest medium to do lasting damage to your plant. If she were a photo this could easily be fixed with time, but she's an auto. With more light comes more growth, more nutrient uptake, and more water usage. With low light comes less growth, less water usage, and SLOW nutrient uptake which makes it easier to burn if your feeding on a schedule. DON'T SCHEDULE feedings in soil if your running low light levels until you see how long it takes the plant to use what it already has. Let her tell you when she needs nutes (as you saw with the low nitrogen) and water (light-weight pot). Until you're practiced with how plants act in the environment you have provided, it will continue to be a learning process.

I think what i'm trying to say is that plants respond a specific way to specific environments. Learn what happens in the environment you are able to provide (light levels, humidity, temps) and maximize the results. All "cause and effect" in plants revolves around light. Each "breed" or pheno is going to be a bit different. Autos especially, as you have a limited time frame to work with. Photos are way more forgiving of mistakes. Water only until at least 2 full leaf sets then 1/4 rate high nitrogen nutes AS NEEDED until flowering, then swap nutes. Water only when dry. In soil, it's not as hard as some make it out to be. When you figure out the process, repeat. Each and every time.

During all this; READ, READ, READ, and read some more!!! Learn.

Learn what works and a Master Ganja Grower you WILL be!

Hey TX. There is plenty of mistakes on this grow which i am aware of :

1 - Starting veg nutes too late
2 - Slow growth because of insufficient light(window sill) at the seedling phase.
3 - Tied down and then untied and tied down again causing slight stress i guess.
4 - I might have overwatered at the start i think.

Anyway i would love to add more lights but the average temperature is at 32 celcius and i wouldn't want it to be any hotter.

I just can't wait to get my LED grow light, PH kit and another fan to make my growing environment much better and improving the health of my plant :)

Man that post of yours inspired me so much. I will adapt to my plant needs and give her all the love :)

On my next report i'm gonna be giving it bloom nutes and hopefully it will fatten up. Do you think i should do a flush before changing to bloom nutes or is it fine ?
