New Grower *First Grow* Double Grape Auto by Mephisto Genetics(Autopot XL)

LOL yeah that's the scary part. This is an advanced technique that's easy to screw up but very useful and inspiring:

To bend branches without breaking them you can bruise and smash the branches and move them down until they're flexible enough to move. You will break branches, less with experience. Everybody does. But if you don't break them completely off, you can wrap them in tape and they're usually going to be ok.

Ultimately you shouldn't do anything you're uncomfortable with. I am the only one who does this, so you have to take it with a grain of salt. If I'm worried about breaking a more brittle branch, I bruise it as much as I can to make it flexible, then wrap it with tennis tape. Then I bend it down to where I want it.

To bruise the branch, you have to squeeze it really tightly between thumb and forefinger and sort of bend it a little. Work your way down the branch to soften enough so that it won't break when you bend it.

To add to this, you want to do this when they are ready to be watered, before watering them. The less water in the plant's cells, the less likely you are to snap them when you bend them.

I'm not gonna lie, lol this is a hail Mary. Concerned that maybe the upwards tubing may have issues carrying water, but this is what I came up with. Also I bent the whole fk out of the main branch and the outer layer stayed intact so I think it'll be okay but sheesh, a little drastic. Whatcha think?
This looks way more effective, good job!

Flowering beautifully. Same recipe. Megacrop dries out if not closed properly, lost a quarter of my bag but whatever lmao. Umm..they some thirsty broads cause like..2+ gallons a day these girls drink more than humans and were like 70% water these girls are like 28% THC - I'm being facetious - but things seem to be going well. The apical stem that was SERIOUSLY bent is facing up and all that, but it's got these black lines on it. Any idea what they are?

I'm 42 days into my Double Grape and I am very impressed with how little I've had to do to it. It has a natural form that spreads out beautifully.

I did top mine early on and it took it like a champ. I'm very impressed with the number of "potential" bud sites.

Your photos give me awesome expectations for mine.

I’m on day 19 with my DG. Kinda slow start, but has up-shifted a couple of gears this week. I put her outside in the high desert sun this week & she definitely appreciates it. The sun can be an excellent therapeutic.
