New Grower First Grow DWC LED - Think Different Any Advice?

Another quick update
ph remains at 5.8 so it's stable
ppm down to 0310
and I see new growth will update pictures on Tuesday when hopefully the growth is better

i have been looking at tnc range for cal mag and mycorhydro will make the order at the end of the month
dutch master zone seems to be keeping it all at bay for now and roots have just exploded with new growth

with the mycorrhydro mate use it as soon as you have roots in the res... i use a protein shaker and fill it full of top up or res water stick the required amount of tnc (for a 20l dwc bucket i used to use a level teaspoon) and shake it up and make sure its mixed well, then pour this in the bucket, let it mix for a bit and then get a jug of the res water and pour it through the top of of the net pots to make sure the roots are fully inoculated and dosed up with the bennies.... this will male your res water look like a bombay cess pit and it does make your roots stained brown... use some form of carbs to keep the bennies going and discontinue the tnc and use sensizyme (much better than cannazyme) for the rest of the grow.. if you get root root starting to kick in, then re-apply the tnc as above and you will be good to go...

i know a lot of people used the dutch master zone though to great effect, and either the sterile h202 system or the 'dirty' beneficial bacteria system both work....

As soon as it comes it will be going straight into the res hopefully I can get it before my Friday res change and get it in there then and come off using DM zone even though it seems to be doing a half decent job

Hi Know,

This is just a reference or guide line.

Guide to EC Values for Plants Life Cycle
Example: Based on Water EC OF 0.0

So this means 0.0 would be the BASE Value, Most of us will never have 0.0, i have 0.6 as my base water EC. so i just imagine "0.6 is 0.0 and use this as a guide.

Seedlings, Early Sprouts.........100 ppm to 250 ppm--------0.2 ec - 0.5 ec

Early Vegging..........................300 ppm to 400 ppm--------0.6 ec - 0.8 ec

Full Vegetation........................450 ppm to 700 ppm--------0.9 ec - 1.4 ec

Early Blooming.........................750 ppm to 950 ppm--------1.5 ec - 1.9 ec

Full Mature Blooms..................1000 ppm to 1600 ppm------2.0 ec - 3.2 ec

Edit: I forgot to mention that autoflowers do not respond well to high ppm readings over 1000. I never went over 1000 ppm's with my Vertigos and they are over 4' tall or 122cm. My Pineapple Express is at 47 days and flowering, my ppm is at 800 which I just increased today.

Glad everything is going well for you.

i know DWC is supposed to be low maintenance but i guess its just learning the ropes first
been one hell of a week for me
but i see the roots finally exploding looking better than ever
new growth is happening i really think i need a light upgrade though

ph @5.8 - 5.9
ppm 300
res temp 20c
room temp 23c
humidity 50-60%

pictures will be here on Tuesday the start of week 3
she should be a bit bigger i know but im sure i shocked her when her roots turned and i panicked and have been trying things to fix it seems i have found something she likes though

hey antiquties
thanks for this info i will print it out and use it as a ref whenever i do my feeding

They are low maintenance with exception of my airstones getting clogged. My DWC which is actually called bubbleponics and holds 8 gallons of water but only using 6 gallons. I do have a plant in a 5 gal bucket and the root mass consumes half of the bucket, your roots should be the same in a few weeks. I also use Hempy buckets which is really simple to grow in, you can look them up on the internet. My pineapple express is growing in one now, uses way less water and nutrients but must keep the nutrient well clean and fresh, that's where the Aqua Shield comes in.

MHO, when growing autoflowers, keep it simple, don't experiment, less is good, if your ppm's are dropping then you need to increase it, the plants need more food . Your readings look good, the cooler you can keep the REZ the better. I don't know much about MH or HPS lighting, I use CFL's and high powered LED's and I get good results so far.

I've got a TD in an almost identical setup and almost the same age, and it looks almost identical. Hopefully this means we're doing something right?!
Nice work :Sharing One:
