Hello!

I’ve actually tried my hand one other time, years ago, growing a single Bruce Banner auto from Crop Kings Seed Co. Technically speaking this is my second try.

SEED AND SOIL
As I mentioned, this is a Bruce Banner auto from Crop Kings. Planted into soil made up of mostly FFHF soil, 20% rice hulls, and 15% Gaia green worm castings.

NUTRIENTS
the bottom half of my 5 gallon pot was mixed with full strength Gaia Green 4-4-4 and also 2-4-8 slow release fertilizer. In addition, I also added 50% strength dose of mycorrhiza from Xtreme Gardening. I also added a few dry amendments in very small quantities, including: azomite, dolomite, and rock phosphate.

EQUIPMENT AND ENVIRONMENT
My light is a concern, I’m currently running it 20 hours on, at 60%, and I included a photo oh the Amazon page that was current when I bought it. I am not familiar with the brand, and honestly can’t find much about them, they seem fake as hell, but it seems to grow my plants. And it was $60 in 2021. So idk

Other than that, I’m running the AI AC infinity outlet controller in their full setup including exhaust fan, tent, and pots.

I have a humidifier set to 60-70% RH, and a circulation fan running 24-7.

Temps are pretty steady around 70-80 F with lights turning off during the coolest 4 hours of the day, tracked by the controller.

QUESTION
I think that it’s mutated. But I really know nothing. The color looks good to me, the leaves are flat and springy and very healthy feeling. The stem is super strong for a 12 day old plant. It’s also growing seemingly slow? I’m not sure. It broke out of the soil on January 1st. I’ve been watering on no particular schedule, and have been letting the soil dry completely before watering, making sure to only water the surrounding area of the plant. And increasing the size exponentially as the plant grows to promote root growth.

I’m really lost.

Can anyone tell me where I’m messing up? Or is this just a short straw situation?

Anything helps, all suggestions welcome! Thanks guys.

Thats what it looks like to me is a mutation. The meristem split, without being topped and it looks like its having trouble growing up now and putting a lot of effort into bushing up for some reason. This almost looks like a weird variant of a ployploid but I could be wrong about that. A polyploid, is when cells reproduce with multiple copies of DNA in each cell so the cell growth is abnormal

So just to clarify, you do think this is not a me problem? And just random chance?

Random chance. Ive run into a couple on photo periods, I dont grow many autos. This early though I might advise starting over if the vertical growth doesn't start back up soon, id say over the next week. But it does look like those secondary branches are taking off. You might end up with 2 main colas if you dont top and they continue to grow.

Thanks!
I just recently obtained my cultivation license, so I’m really excited to learn more.
Oh you definitely will. This site upped my game from mediocre to pretty tasty buds. I stopped buying weed for about as long as Ive been on here. I still run into problems and have some ugly plants but the buds are far better than anything on the street or in a dispo.
