Indoor First grow with Airpots and LED lighting - 2x Think Different, 2x StarRyder, 2x AutoXtreme

Day 41 (I need more light!)

Lo Bob!

Sorry for the slow updates. Been really busy with the kids on my vacation since my wife is working all summer. They are growing along just fine but I need more light...

Temps: 28°-31°C some days but the last two days have been more like 23-26°C, which is nice
RH: 45-65%
Food: 2ml calmag, 2ml fish-mix, 4ml bloom per 2L water (two feeds since the last time I updated)
PH: To lazy to get my ph-meter back from a friend =)

I will post some random pictures of the ladies since I'm bone tired today:

And two of the girls will be tall ones it seems =) One of my StarRyders (posted below with a 2L Fanta for reference) and one of the AutoXtremes are like 95-96 cm tall right now. The 4 other are more like 40-50 cm now.

(I must apologize for the horrible image quality, used my phone and they are all LED-light-colored ...)
Since those two girls are a lot taller I'm gonna have to raise the other ones, but not tonight "uuuuggghhhh.."

And I'm still under lit and now I'm getting desperate for the new GN light, can anyone recommend something similar to the ms0006 (that I have now) since I can't wait for them anymore? Then at least I'll have two similar lights and then I can buy the new GN light when this grow is done.

//Weeble out

I wanted to order a Vipar cob but that was a bit to much cash right now so I settled on a 150W Prakasa ufo style led that I got for an OK price on Ebay (about 100£ with shipping). Since I ordered this UFO LED now I can still order the new GN light (if it ever comes...) and put this new one to use after this grow when I'm gonna do two separate grow rooms. Well more like one room (the current one) and one smaller box/tent in which I'll put a photo PowerPlant, since I love the high from a nice PP. And in my current room I haven't really decided what auto to grow, maybe I'll set up a vote and let you wonderful people decide for me =)

Day 45 - Trouble on the horizon?

'Lo friends!

I felt a disturbance in the force when I entered my grow room and saw this on one of my AutoXtreme's:

And then this on one of the TD's:

My best guess (and it's a guess) is that the AutoXtreme is suffering from calcium deficiency and the I'm not a good guesser but the Think Different might be from nitrogen deficiency??

I've been giving the girls (per 1L water) 1ml calmag 1ml BioBizz Fish-Mix 2ml Bloom (last feeding if you don't count yesterday when I upped the dosage to 2ml calmag 1ml fish-mix 3ml bloom).

The runoff PH was 6.2 last feed.

Here's a picture of some girls on girls action for all you pervs out there =)

I'm relying on your collective wisdom to guide me through this time of need:grat:

Using LEDs, you may need a bit more CalMag. I had problems with calcium/magnesium deficiency, and I started giving her about 2 ml per liter, once a week. That didn't work. I'm now up to 2.5 ml per liter, twice a week, plus I give her Black Strap twice a week when I water without nutes. It might be a bit easier for the pros to better determine the issue if you take pics without the LEDs on. Just a suggestion

Hey I just got a 900w from ledplantlife and a 1200w mars II from mars hydro. First led grow myself, although new, I would recommend the mars 2 heavily. Its super well built, sturdy, and I don't second guess its power. Its cool, amd has a great spectrum. My two cents.

With the Mars II, you definitely get your hard earned money's worth

Health update

Thought I'd try to post some better pictures of the probs that I've seen over the last couple of days:

Read the last couple of posts I've made about this for more info on the nutes and stuff ;)

You say:

PH: To lazy to get my ph-meter back from a friend =)

and that might be the source of your troubles.

Until you realise that PH is one of the most important grower's concern, there will be no defficiency free growing for you even with all the nutrients provided in right quantities.
As I can see, you do not run very much watts per plant to cause wild growth and you seem to feed quite properly.

Maybe there is something else, that you are not doing OK, but your PH disorder definitelly make the picture worse overall.

I am not sure about that, but your leaves show necrosis, that might be caused by lack of calcium, not because you do not feed Ca, but because Ca in soil is not available to plants bellow 6,2 PH. Charts show that Ca is the most sensitive element when soil is too acidic.

In my opinion, every marijuana growing book should start with this words: If you want to grow in soil and use liquid nutrients (instead of manure, wormcast, etc., etc.) and you are not going to be concerned about PH, you had better stop reading now, in order to avoid loosing time, money and nervs.

If you want more precise answer, post your troubles with description in 24 hours help thread, but I seriously doubt that guys there would avoid questioning you about PH.

That rust spot on the leaves is a sure sign of a calcium diff. You say you upped your dose of cal/mg to 2ml and went back down again?? that is your problem, you must stay feeding the higher amount of calcium and mag once you have given it to the plants already. Now they are using a lot of cal/mg so dont hold out on them with it. Think you might have a few opther diff going on too.
