First organic grow - blue automazar // afghan kush ryder

Keep 'em rollin', pretty soon you will be juggling 10-20 and bored when you aren't! Looking beautiful medi, and I am with you on the slaughterhouse products as well. I have been trying to stick with grain meals and crustacean products. Plus, there is a lot of disease in airborne particulates from bone and blood meal that a lot of people don't realize. It is harder work but I think it is more natural and also boosts the natural enzymes that you don't get in animal byproducts. Not knocking EoF because he has his kit working properly and end of the day it is all about what works for the grower.

Best of luck on the TDs. Gonna be some monstas.

Thanks for this A4, I've been struggling with it to be honest because I don't like compromising on stuff like this. It's good to know that I can find alternative sources if I keep working at it. My first go at TLO has been a great learning experience(read: rough) so far. Once I top dressed I started to notice them perk up and darken so I've re-amended my soil accordingly. I'll keep working at it once I get through my current 20 or so gallons(75 liters) of amended soil.

Hey man, You got a grow tent full of awesome going on right now man. I wish I had some TD seeds. Everyone who has grown them, makes me jealous of it.
That AKR does mature suprisingly fast. Looks like it has some very stable genetics.:Sharing One:

Thanks Neko, I'm pretty psyched about the TD, but the BAM is my favorite, it's been many a year since I've had Blueberry so I'm pretty excited for the reunion!

Yeah bro, just remember that your first few batches of soil are going to need some help along the way. Everyone that has been doing this a long time tells me that the first few batches are going to need supplementation in the form of EWC tea and enzyme teas. So the fact that your soil isn't quite there yet is not a knock against you. It is the same with everyone. The more you reuse the soil the better it is going to get! Keep the faith.

Hey Medi. I’m going to be in the same boat as you soon. Once I’m finished with the move, I’m going to be amending my soil. Its a little intimidating, but eye'sonfire helped me to get a better understanding of it. Plus reading other people on here that go that route with organics.

I’m glad to hear that BAM is your favorite, as Ill be joining in on the bam fun come new year. Im dying to grow my krippleberry man. It will be my first blueberry strain. Besides bluedream. 2 more weeks and I can get my fix.:xlaugh:

Enough about me. I talk about myself to much sometimes. I recognize that as a problem lol. So, with that. I want to send some karma to your soil. Since taking care of the soil, is taking care of your plants.:vibes::karma Cloud:

And I believe some rep slappage is in line. Since your putting in the effort to do some real organic growing. Im pretty hardcore anti-synthetics when it comes to consumable produce. Which cannabis falls into the produce category.:karma::slap::wiggle:

Keep at it Medi! I messed up my soil too, don't feel bad. Its a learning experience. PH in soil is a killer and not so easy to fix after the fact. Lesson learned: Check the ph of your soil before your ready to plant! I've got some of my used soil cooking with a healthy dose of lome in it. going to test it next week. Also Go a soil ph meter coming. I've only ruined about 10 autos so far.............

Thanks for the rep brother, and the encouragement!! I'm really interested in growing the RQS photo of Blue Dream(they call it Haze Berry SSH X BB) it sounds incredible so I'm going to get my supply to where I have a couple C Vaults filled up and start exploring some photo strains like Blue Dream, Master Kush, Trainwreck, and White Rhino to name a few. You're welcome to come talk about yourself all you want dude ;-) Take care!

To be honest PH hasn't been much of a consideration for me since I kept the amendment ratios within the range I found in The Rev and Sub's recipes to include lime. My problem is the usual in my life of trying to go against the grain, I'm a thick headed dude what can I say :P That blows you've burned through that many man, I would be so disheartened, you're a tougher troop than me brother!!

BAM // AKR - 41 Days

Heading into the 6th week things are looking pretty good. Without the SCROG these guys just aren't going to look as impressively bushy as my NL was, but the BAM is definitely an elegant grower, very symmetrical, full, and on her happier days she opens up and looks quite regal. The AKR is staying pretty squat but again she's really maturing quickly, she's been producing trichomes for around a week now whereas the BAM is only really just starting to show any signs of it. My thoughts are that I probably have about 20 more days with the AKR and probably more like 5 or 6 weeks with the BAM. The smell in my closet right now is quite pungent, though not overpoweringly so. I've noticed since adding the two Think Differents that the relative humidity has jumped a good 7-8% over normal so rather than low 40's to low 50's I'm looking at high 40's as a baseline, and it actually jumped to 70% when I decided to water all four on the same day. As a result I decided I'll stagger watering and let the babies dry out a little more. Not a lot more than that to report honestly they're just trucking along, and I'm still confident that while I won't be breaking my scales with this grow, I will be growing some very clean, and organoleptically intact nugs to enjoy while I wait for the TDs to finish!! I'll have some other seeds to start including some Cheese Candy, Stone Dragon, and something else not sure yet so as each plant finishes it'll be replaced with something new. I've decided to just move to exclusively nursery pots for the time being, they're cheaply/easily available and I can easily fit 4 of them with plenty of margin into my 3X3 tent. I may try out some airpots at some point, but for now I'm going to go simple and cheap.

DP TD - DAY 7

First week down and 10 or 11 to go!!! One of them did a long stretch despite being in exactly the same position as the other which did not. It also has some funky looking leaves so far that look twisted, I can't help but wonder if this isn't going to end up some mutant or hermie but I'm going to let it ride for the time being and just keep a close eye on it. Nothing but water so far and they're not drinking much yet so they're practically taking care of themselves. And on that note, I'm going to throw up a group shot and call this post good!! Or adequate at least :P Hope you've all had a good weekend!!

You got me excited about growing the BAM! On another note, I learned a new word today! Organoleptically; had to look that one up!

Glad I could help your vocab TGB :P I'm excited to HARVEST a BAM!!! But growing it has been pretty good so far. We getting closer to a smoke report on that TD? :Sharing One:

Well, my plan is to wait at least a month before I try a bud, but I gotta admit, it is getting harder and harder to resist. I jarred it up on the 5th, so it's only been a little over a week, but seems like a month. To be honest, I'm starting to think I'll get weak by week 3, and fire something up.

Two weeks should be a long enough cure to at least sample some man!!
