Lighting First time lights

Hello everyone. Have read through many posts. But I'm still lost. This will be my first grow so would like abit of advice. Lights are listed for example 1000w but claim to draw 100w. This is what confuses me. My other question being is the Mars hydro ts1000 in a 2x2 a good kit? Will be mostly autoflower to start with untill I understand the ropes abit better. They also sell a hole kit within the UK which makes things easy aswell. Apologies for the long first post. Thanks in advance

They're trying to make a comparison to what growers used in HPS. Unfortunately, most of its BS. Mars is a decent product, and has a good following on the board, @MarshydroTina is a rep for Mars and is here on the boards too. Let's see if she has any thoughts on size of light to tent size.

@CallumCush ,TS1000, the "1000" is just the model number, its actual power is 150w, the coverage is for 2'x2' flowering and 3'x3' at veg stages, it's a good choice for the first-time grower.
Yeah, we also supply the whole grow kit since this month. It includes the TS1000 light, 2.3'x2.3' grow tent, digital Hygrometer, Timer, carbon filter, 4 inches fan, speed controller, 5 gals Grow bags, 10-meter duct tube.

@MarshydroTina hi thanks for the reply. I will most likely go for the kit as it comes with everything needed. Just a final question, what is the height of the tent? As that is my only limiting factor at the moment. Thanks :smoking:

The tent size is 70x70x160cm tent, 5.2' tall

ok. there is a kit listed as 60x60. do you have those? or only 70x70. as the 70 will be that tiny bit to big for my space. Thanks
