Day 53 - I've Created a Monster
Well my plants have grown up past the bottom of the light. It turns out that 6 plants are too many for my tiny grow space. The two largest plants are plagued by pop corn buds. The other four plants vary in size and the buds look OK. I am still waiting for some frost to show up on the plants.

Well I am not done with my first grow and I am already thinking about the next one. I am stuck with the space I have so I am looking for advice as to how to improve my process. This grow was too big for my small tent. The Fast Bud I choose is close to the correct plant but I need a shorter plant. My two tallest plants have grown up past the light and one of them is about to reach the top of the tent. I am all ears.

Mines gotten out of control too, I'd recommend maybe 3-4 plants, a scrog, and lots of lst, I have mine scrogging and now lst to the net as well. I made a bad mistake with seeds ordering a 100 cm auto but there are dwarfs and such out there that should be around 60 cm I'd shoot for those. I use herbies.

Strange Variations My plants have diverged into two types. The two largest and fastest growing are long and spindely. One of these two plants looks like it's covered in seeds but I removed a branch (see photo) and there don't seem to be seeds when I open up the pouches. The four smaller plants have what appear to be normal buds. The tricombs are all clear. I am seeing a lot of the hairs on the buds turn orange. I just changed the res and PH and PPM are steady. I am thinking I should start on plain water next Fri. Anyone care to guess at how long I have until harvest.

I wouldn't start flushing till 80% of the hairs look orange and from that last pic they all look white. Still got a while. At least from what I've read the fast bud is supposed to smell and taste amazing.

It smells very nice. I keep sticking my head in the tent for a nice deep breath. Thanks for the reply JAYAR!

I have six SS Fast Bud and two of them have turned into grass (see below) I have about 3 weeks left to harvest and I am wondering if I should;
First: remove these two ugly, spindly plants to give the four remaining plants more light? BTW all six plants are in a single hydro unit. The roots have grown out so much I am sure I'd kill them if I try to remove the plants and grow somewhere else. Besides I only have a single light.
Second: What should I do with the plants if I cut them? I don't relish shooting butane down a pipe and lighting myself on fire.
I am all ears. Thanks

Don't cull them, just move them out of the way of the plants that are thriving. You can bend them down or tie the branches together (sort of like how christmas trees are shipped). If you cull them at this point you are going to have ph problems as their roots die off in the rez.
