Not a problem. The high starting pH of Pro Mix was the reason I did a lot of experimenting to find the best way to lower it. I tried sulfur, too slow acting, cottonseed meal, too much nitrogen, and finally aluminum sulfate. 17% aluminum sulfate added at the rate of 4 grams per gallon of soil mix will lower the pH to 6.3 - 6.4. I've since moved off of Pro Mix to Bonnie Professional Potting mix. Same ingredients as HP, peat, perlite and lime, but it's starting pH is 6.7. I can pick it up at the local Ace Hardware, saving me an 80 mile round trip, and it's $5 cheaper a bale.

I have changed as of this year to because I had no choice to Agra mix same supposedly identical to pro mix bx. But on my indoor I am using sunshine mix 4. Have you had any experience with sunshine mix Muddy?

No personal experience with Sunshine but I've seen a lot of people use it with good success. No one in my area carries it and I'm too cheap to pay shipping on anything that heavy.

Yea there was added fert to the perlite,it was like fractions of a percent though.I think they add powder nutes,idk..my water is at like 6.5 maybe 6,that should drop it eventually correct?

And if the miracle grow does burn my plants I can hit it with the sledgehammer correct?

The pics are at day 9..the 3 and 4th pic from the top has weird leaves,do they look ok

I wouldn't be too concerned about the small amount of nutes added to the perlite. It's he combination of MG soil with slow release nutes AND MG perlite that can play hell with autos.

Putting anything MG in/on your plants is about like pissing in your wife's morning coffee...NOTHING good will come of it....lol! And why support Monsanto, the only company more evil than Walmart?

I hate monsanto with a passion pop 22 they are pure evil. They have killed more people with there chemicals since the begining of the 20th century inventor of PCBS which now can be founf in every human on the planet and even in the arctic thirty meters down they find pcbs. then agent orange satan is behind monsantos

I just bought it cause it was the only perlite they had,the nutrients were negligible and it was half off, but Im def not a fan of Monsanto. . . how do u think they look? And do half the pictures work for u guys cause for me on tapatalk (forum app) it always only shows half the pic for me and everyone else
