Harvest & Curing Going out of town during second week into cure

I'm now a week and a half to two weeks away from harvesting my BHD's. I figure if its like my last crops it will take 3-5 days to dry. For the first week of the cure I'll be able to burp my jars, but will be leaving shortly after for a week with no way to open my jars.

I'm concerned about mold. Is there anything I can do? Should I extend my dry period? Is there another curing method I could consider that would reduce my mold chances? I've only done the jar method and don't know much more about other methods.

I would use a hygrometer in some of the jars to see where the humidity is at, during the first week. Try to get it to 65 or below. At that RH chances of mold is slim. You could also pick up some of these http://www.freshstor.com/products/humidipaks.html to place in the jars with the weed, they regulate the RH to 62%.

If current conditions continue, around 30-40% RH.

I'm going to order a few of those packs to check em out.

packs worked out great. Jar humidity running up to 80% the week before i left, threw the packs in there a few days before leaving and the humidity stuck right at 62%. Upon returning home after a week, the humidity was at the same spot and buds were mold free. Definitely going to be using these in the future if I need to leave again.
