I did a search on this but didn't find anything, so thought stoners chat might be a good place to ask this.

Does anyone know of a good reverse osmosis system? I grow up to 10 plants at a time using autopots so I need a fair bit of water. I am not sure if I can get away with a residential under the sink model of residential whole house system.

For about $50 to your door, the RO Buddy makes 75 gallons a day. Right around 20m per gallon flow rate. That should be plenty. I am grabbing a new one real soon. It's legit and puts out 0-1ppm off town tap water when it's fresh.

What is the model? Looks like there are different models, stages.

I just ordered the 4 stage 50 gpm RO Buddie from Amazon out of the States. The 3 stage gets it to about 10 PPM. 4 stage is supposed to be 0 ppm. For $20 more I figured why not.

Next up is getting a rain barrel or water tote and a float shut off valve for automation for filling up a big res so I don't have to wait for the RO filter to fill up my 5 gallon buckets which apparently can take some time. That way I will have ~50 gallon res full of RO water available all the time.

How much is it going to cost you for replacement filters?
Zero. The replacement filters cost more than the unit. As long as you keep using it, you should get a couple years minimum. They seem to fuck up and get stinky when they sit. And I have a 3 stage that does a gallon in just shy of 20m. It also gets the PPM down to low single digits. This one is a few years old, but it was definitely $50. Maybe they have a different lineup now. I'm in the market soon, keep me posted on the performance of your new best friend.

I ordered a Stealth 300 from Hydro-Logic. It’s 300 gallons per day or 12.5 gallons per hour and has several filters. I think it’s 4 stage. In the summer I need a lot more water than for just my indoor garden but at $215 at HydroBuilder, this unit gives more capacity than I need and for indoor. I don’t have to wait on it to make water. I thought about the RO Buddy system but, while it was cheaper, the Stealth system seems like a much better long-term investment - for my purposes, anyway. I’m filtering well water that clocks in at around 980ppm at the spigot.

Your water is loaded. Perfect ppm for flowering. Did you every try growing with it?

I'm looking at buying a good RO system and am doing some research I have 400ppm water from my well and it's causing nite lockout here and there so I'm looking for something reasonable and one I don't have to change filters constantly. I have a inline carbon filter used for rv's but it's garbage. And far as the ppm being good for flower is not the case. The ppm from the well is in the right ppm range but the minerals and stuff in it are not asessable to the plants. It's different. I learned that the hard way.
I need a good recommendation for a system under 150$.

RO Buddy with the 4th filter for DI is about $50 US amazon prime. Works great. I run it in to a 50 gallon rubbermaid garbage can with the float shut off valve kit you can order too. Pretty sure you'd be under $100 for the filter, rubbermaid and float valve kit.
