Got some soil.

I have a good picture of the nitrogen toxicity and 2 cool pictures of a small leaf growing out of my fan leaf base. I think this is the first time I have had leaf on leaf.

Well just added 1 more table spoon to the mix. I think 4 is too much. New base soil for next grow now has 1 bag of roots, 1/2 pot of a #1 pot full of steer manure and 3 table spoons of lime. Still have not mixed the hot soil up yet as I am not sure if I am doing an auto or photo grow yet for next grow.

Just mixed up my bloom mix/the hot mix. I ended up trying my own thing and put... 1/4 full of a #1 pot worth of steer manure, full #1 pot full of mushroom compost, 1/4 cup bat guano, 1/4 cup lime and 1 table spoon of Epsom salt. Trying to cut cost and simplify the recipe with out sacrificing quality or weight. The Steer manure has worked out great for me for a nitrogen source and is only $2.50 a bag compared to the $10 or so I paid for the blood meal. The Mushroom compost "also around $2.50 a bag" I am hoping will provide enough P, K and minerals that I can cut my bone meal, rock phosphate and Azomite which will in hopes replace $20+ worth of stuff for almost 10th the cost. We will not know how well it works tell next grow though. Next grow I will grow 1 Red Dwarf auto so I have a familiar strain to compare too. There is a good chance I put too much mushroom compost as I have never used it before but o well there is only one way to find out if it will work or not.

O ya another thing as I am watching videos of other peoples grows and drinking rum I keep hearing people on Utube say don't transplant autos... They transplant just fine as you can see. If I don't transplant with the way I grow than the roots grow in to the bloom mix too early. If you learn what pot size to start in, when to transplant and how than it is just fine.

I think your plants will love your mix. Where do you get your mushroom compost?

Ace hardware. I don't have a lot of places to shop were I live. There are no good grow shops near me. I have to drive 100 miles to get my soil. I just pick it up when we are visiting family.

I am noticing some pistils in my purple kush that are lavender in color. I wonder if I can breed it with my pink hair plant and some how make lavender pistils.

So plant is at day 37 and has some good crystals.

I don't know if I will get to it this week end but I plant on burning some trees I dropped last year and saving the ash to replace my lime and add extra potassium. I am just going to be burning the small branches that I would not normally be using in a fire to dispose of them. I think I am going to add some green sand to the mix this time and see how that works but I think the wood ash is were it is going to be at in the end as it is free, supplies minerals, potassium and raises PH all in one swoop. I have already mixed and corrected my ph so its not an option the next grow. I later plant to also replace the bat guano with the Down to earth seabird guano as it is a very common item in hardware/garden centers in my area. I don't have a problem getting things I need as I just order what I cant find over the internet but some of the people I know just want to be able to find there amendments in town.

Well just ordered green sand, not cheep stuff. Think I will add 1/4 cup to the mix and see how it goes. I also have some humic acid I will end up adding to the mix I have sitting, probably about 1 teaspoon spoon full. I believe the humic acid helps plants up take nutrients when the PH gets a little out of the range they are absorbed at. Not sure if 1 teaspoon full is enough to notice anything but I know the sub cool recipe asks for 2 table spoons full in a recipe that uses 8 bags of soil so it must be pretty strong stuff.

I like a nice buffet. I put as much different stuff as possible in my soil. I think green sand takes along time to break down, if I remember right? I have it in my soil also. I just have a compulsive habit of buying new amendments when I see them. Lol
