grafting to 2nd root base

Just a thought........would it be adventitious to plant two seeds in one pot, bend one over and graft it to the other as an additional doner root stock and proceed with the grow as one plant/ 2 root stocks feeding her....has anyone heard of such a plan?.....respect.
