Just thought I'd do a little grow journal.
Ok, it's been awhile since I've done one so bear w/me.
Strains/Seed Bank:
White Russian: 2 Fem. Lowlife Seeds
AutoMazar: 2 Fem. Dutch Passion Seeds
Fast Bud: 2 Fem. Sweet Seeds
Soil:
I'm using nothing more than Miracle Grow Moisture Control.
Ferts:
Fox Farms Trio
Germination:
Used Jiffy Peat Pellets 2" (I don't recommend these. Last time I will use them. See my post in the main Forums in the "Cannabis Infirmary" "Sick Plants" http://autoflower.net/forums/showthr...96-Sick-Plants ) FullD was the biggest help here. Look for post #8
Also used a germination heat mat with thermostat set at 75 degrees.
Lighting:
T5 HO 8 bulb light fixture. 432 watts (Grow Bulbs 54 watt Lumen Output 4600 and Color Temp. is 6500k) (Bloom Bulbs 54 watts Lumen Output 4800 and Color Temp. is 2900k, now I may or may not use the bloom bulbs)
Light schedule:
20/4 start to finish
Put selected seeds out to sit @ room temp. for 24 hours. (I keep my seeds in a refrigerator @ 40 degrees.)
Soaked all the seeds @ room temp. in distilled water (already ph balanced-that's a given) for 18 hrs. All had sank but one Mazar.
At this point, I used the Jiffy Greenhouse and the germination heat pad. Put plenty of Distilled water in the Greenhouse to expand the pellets and drained off most of it. Opened up the netting and set the seeds, point end down, (just helps orientate the seed better. When they open, they will split @ that end anyway.) 1/4"....Set the thermostat on 75 degrees and put them in the dark. This happened @ 8:30pm on 3-20-11
On 3-23, 59 hours later, First Fast Bud popped. #2
Same day, 11 hours later, Fast Bud #1 and White Russian #2 popped.
On 3-24, 12 hours later, White Russian #1 and Mazar #1 popped.
Same day, 13 1/2 hours later, my last Mazar #2 popped.
So in just 71 hours, I had 100% germination.
At this point, I went ahead and transplanted all 6 plugs, plants in toe, in 10" pots. I simply call this their home pots.... It's worth mentioning that after the first seed popped, I removed them from the darkness and placed them "In the Shade", so to speak. Still on the heat mat with the lid cracked, until the rest popped.
