Hey guys, preparing here for the next grow.
Were also moving to a new concealed place which can contain up to 6-10 pots.
Very excited and nervous, and some grow room tips are needed and welcomed!

This is a sketch of the upcoming room, and I would need some help.

Lights would be 6x / 6x 23w cfls (warm / cool) [138w]
and will be upgraded later on to 400w hps/mh.
Astro-reflector means Astro Foil, or mylar.
water bubling, humidifying and all that fancy stuff (no Co2 :P)

Alright. Biggest problems and dillamas would be, the vents and the intake and exhaust fans.
I never done this before. and air will circulate through the attic.
Could you give me some pointers, and recommend a good brand or favorable equipment for this?
Charcoal filter is a must of course.
Is the design is good and reasonable?
We would also need a cloning area and/or Pregnancy Room[risky] (Good-bye to dependence on ordering seeds!)
I hope the exhaust system wont cost more than 350$, as we are running low on cash.
The other dillema would be, Price vs stealthiness.
I could get a fully functional fan or exhaust system and it will work great, but is the room is sealed enough for it to be stealthy? will figure this out.
Stealthy should always go first at the current times.

Oh and current grow would be Auto Berry Ryder (again)x2 and a White Widow!
Yeaaaa Cheeeers ! ! ! "pher Wiggle"

Thank you for listening, eager to hear some advice over here.
Good night and Good Vibes :peace:

Bliss me some,

That is classic, I love the drawing. So I am not sure of your area you want to cover with those lights. But it should do the job on those auto's, for the HPS. You say you have 6 strips with six lights each? or 138 X 6? Is that correct?

If so, that would get you there. but you might want to spend a few extra bucks for a 12 pack of the 26 watt and mix them in. Someone else can tell you more about spectrums and all that number stuff. But for auto's you have enough in the CFL's to do it. I have one I built (in my signature) that the auto's just LOVE.

Unfortunately I don't give a rat's ass who smells my grow room so I don't know much about ventilation. I do know that the quiet ones are pretty expensive. Circualtion, well I do know about having fans in the room.

Good luck sealing your room up, can't be an easy task, so karma's to you and your other.:karma Cloud:

Il'l be baaack

Peace

Eek

Hey!
Glad to see you around! Love the drawing too!
Really look into the ventilation, the odor can get out of control quickly. Don't want to scare you man, but I thought I had it under control and was I wrong! Needed at least twice as much filter and fan as I thought, an Ona bucket and ozone. After all that you could still get an occasional whiff. Don't forget trimming, need to do that somewhere with odor control too. I just went through all of this with my first grow.
Peace and happy, stealthy growing!!

Thanks guys.
I have twelve cfl bulbs, 23w each. 6 of them are 2700k and 6 are 6500k.
Using only one spectrum at a time, so its 6 x 23 = 138w.

Thanks for the info wwwillie, I will pay extra attention to it.

-Eekman, The lights are from my previous grow of 3 Berry Ryders.
I didn't cared about the smell either, because it was a small grow and it was in my comfortable closet. (and boy it was stinky)
But now, as we move to a new area, we have to rebuild the whole thing, and odor in this neighborhood could be an issue.

Alright, Ill keep looking for more guides and in the meanwhile, please post your ideas and recommendations. Thanks again

Air tight room. How important will yoru rate CO2?
I know that it increase yield but not quality.

So, would you rate it as important to you or not at all?

I would recommend to buy a cheap but good tent that fits the place were you want to grow!
Plants need co2 to grow but adding extra co2 is something you should only do if everything is already maxed out
If you want to get a little room for clones buy yourself a tent with a double compartment! http://www.secretjardin.com/en/grow-tent-secret-jardin/lodge.html
Get yourself a temperature controlled extractor fan !
And try to go the led way if you can afford!

Buying a tent is an option I am still considering, a good idea overall, but it limits me somewhat.
A tent, first of all, will limit me to a number of plant.
This little room I got, can contain up to 12 plants, if done properly.
We would never use that much, but it nice to have that option. the ceiling is also has a curve; / . it is not straight | .
So for now, I would pass on that. Maybe later, I would buy a tent just for cloning! or something like that.

-But I really need to understand this CO2 thing!
*I will only add CO2 when all other environment issues are settled and optimized.

: Okay, I am done with CO2 and if I use it it would be later on. For now I need to focus on
ventillation, fresh air circulation and the setup of it.
Do you guys know, if I can simply use vents for this?

http://www.420hydro.com/rec/378-Cata-B15-6-Vent - I have this in mind
