Hi there, I’m doing a new grow. I’ve made several changes to this grow so I’m still to dial things in. So far things have been going okay, but I’ve already noticed several areas which need improving which I’ll detail during this grow and try in the next. Exciting times ahead.

Grow room environmental conditions / control

I have air-conditioning & dehumidifier (for flower) & humidifier (for veg) and CO2 computer controlled injection.

Air temps range from 24 degrees Celsius (75f) day time to 19 degrees C (66f) at night.
Humidity sits around 40-50% during flowering and about 50-60% during veg.
CO2 is around 1000ppm which shuts off 1 hour before lights out so the plants don't have high CO2 during night. I reduce the CO2 down to about 400ppm during hte final week of flower, because I read it helps them to ripen this way.

Lighting & Grow Space
Grow area is 3.6m x 2.6m (11.81 feet x 7.87) or 8.64 square meters (92.94 square feet)
Lights I have 8 x 600 watts of light (4800 watts total)
Light per square foot = 52.17 watts per square foot

I generally use MH bulbs during veg and switch to HPS during bloom.

Medium / substrate
Soil wise I'm using 50/50 Plagron Light Mix & Perlite.
· Pre-fertilised for 1 week for a fast start.
· Rapid rooting through low EC value
pH: 5.5 - 6.5
EC: 1.0 - 1.2 mS
NPK : 12-14-24

o Growing Method
I'm using Autopots which are 15 Litre pots which are gravity feed / bottom fed pots. There is a reservoir attached to a feed line which feeds the pot trays through wet and dry cycles. Also the bottom of the pots are 1inch (25mm) of pH balanced clay pellets with an air dome in the bottom of the pot, hooked up to an air pump providing extra oxigen to the root zone.
·
Right now I have 24 plants (each in a 15 Litre pot)

I am planning on doubling this to 48 pots / 48 plants.

Strains
· I'm growing high yielding fast growing strains.

Nutrients / Feeding

Here is a link to the grow schedule I've starting using (TaNgs Schedule). http://goo.gl/fea08W

During bloom basically I add to 50/50 tap water RO water with 0.3 EC base
1ml per litre Cal Mag
2ml per litre Sensi Bloom A&B
1ml per litre Carbo Load
1ml per litre Big Bud
This gives me 1.8 EC and 6.8 PH
(however after this grow I believe I’ll shoot for a lower EC of around 1.4 and a lower PH or around 6.3, reason being in the autopot trays the PH is going up a lot.)

The plants basically sit in a solution of this often, so they are basically always being fed.

Here is a view of the AutoPot feedlines. They are basically regular 16mm garden hose line with 6mm Tees.

I have four rows and six plants per row.

I have two garden hose feed lines. One going down the center of the left two rights, one going down the center of the right two rows.

You can also see the air lines going into each pot which has an air dome at the bottom of it.

Here is a couple of images of the air pumps. I use two air pumps hung higher than the plants so water doesn't travel down the airlines into the pumps. Each pump feeds air to 2 rows (12 plants total). 2 pumps and 24 plants total.

I only have 4 lines coming off each line is has 3 tee splitters which means each line feeds 3 plants total. It's easier than having 12 lines per pump or 24 lines total :)

Here is the RO filter I use. The Reverse Osmosis filter cleans my water because the background EC of my water is 0.7 - 0.8 EC. You really want that to be around 0.2 - 0.4 EC. So generally at the moment I'm using about 50/50 RO Water / Tap Water to give me a background EC of around 0.3 - 0.4

I found in teh past that RO water is quick to get algae and harmful bacterias growing because of it's complete lack of any type of water sanitizing treatment like chlorine etc. I find adding a little bit of tap water helps to keep the water cleaner for longer.

Thanks TaNg

I'd actually really appreciate it if you stick around and watch me grow for the next grow or two. I have adopted a similar grow schedule as you. I switched to Plagron Light Mix and I'm using basically your grow schedule. I am having some issues at the moment which I'll post up pictures of tomorrow. As these images above are a good week or more old at least.

I've noticed (and you'll see this in the new images I'll be uploading soon) that the plants on the right hand side of the room under the HPS lights are going more yellow than the plants on the left hand side of the room under the MH lights.

(I decided this grow to play around with light spectrums as well as switching medium and feeding schedule - really I shouldn't change so many things at once!)

I am thinking that what's happening is I'm feeding them with a nutrient solution of about 1.8 EC and 6.8 pH and that's too high.

Next grow I'm going to feed at 6.3 pH and slightly lower EC.
