Hello good people.. well my last couple presses, I been struggling to collect off my raw parchment paper. It kinda just smears onto the paper. Could that be from too much heat? Any helpful tips would be awesome , I love the stuff. Thanks friends

@Townbike Try placing the rosin in the freezer for a few minutes.
That should help it solidify.
I personally use a metal tool for collection, and I'll place that in the freezer for a few to cool it off which aids in the collection.
Hope this helps:cheers:

@Ronin have you ever used trim? I tried with no success at all lol makes me nervous about trying with nice flowers....
By the way loving your hbtss cross in traps garden! Beautiful job bro! I am getting my feet wet crossing a random male from auto portal to a dinafem cheese xxl. Just for personal gardening and to save money on beans....really like the cheese xxl....I got some white jem REGs too ill b using later when I feel more comfortable with doing a big breeding. Would love to make something nice and get it back around to everyone involved in working with the strain and it's lineage of dragons and stuff, would really like to contribute something nice to them for giving such a great base in genetics and letting out REGs so we can make or own meds. Thanks guys!

I totally agree with @Ronin on having your rosin in freezer if it is runny and super sticky. I have now noticed this happening constantly: if I run nugs on 150C with 250kg of pressure for 10 seconds time first the press usually ends up being allright. Right after the press, I put the wax with the parchement paper under a bucket of ice to cool down. But when I do second press, the wax is so sticky it is hard to collect. So what I do is I alternate between the easy and the hard stuff and as I first collect the easier rosin, it makes the harder to collect stuff to stick on the nail and not back on the paper.

Also strains seem to produce wildly different consistancies of Rosin. Some are just plain super sticky and some come out as really nice.

BTW: Have you guys noticed if age of the bud affects the extraction amount of rosin? I remember when my BAM was just harvested and dried, I didn't get too good yields from pressing it. After a month or two of storing the stuff I started to get really good results with same technique. I started wondering that is the age of the bud that starts making the tricome heads more weaker to crack under heat and pressure more easily? Do you have any similar experiences?
