Don't wait for amber trichs' like you would with photos because they'll be past peak by then and the high will be sluggish. When 40% of the leaves have yellowed they are ready (if they did't get too much N)....and save the loupe for the photos :P

i like to cut early for heady effects(i dont care for yield...well within reason)my average would be about day 70 sprout to chop (mostly mephistos i grow, but mephisto seem to tell truth about projected harvest times) i have a good look at the plant with a lupe and when i see one or two amber trichs i cut.a lot of people dont like that they want to cut 10-30% ambers for a more general all over effect.id guess they would cut 1 to 2 weeks after me on average.
they a good bit fatter today compared to a week ago,is there a touch of purple on the beary top bud ? and as eamons says, only a few orange hairs quite a few white that can be a sign theres still life left in it.
if you in two minds when to chop or unsure of the effects you want, why not do a two part harvest ? lob the top half of each plant off and leave the rest another week,it sounds a bit brutal but not really as they so close to the end.
:pighug:

Ok Folks

I just chopped Beary White at 66 days from sprout or 73 from seeds. Check out main cola. She’s a bute! Pulled 194 grams wet. Main is 77 grams alone. All in brown bags and in tent above the lights. Enjoy
